It's pathetic to think of how many projects I have, but it keeps me from going insane. =P Well, this next project is a Super Mario World hack. I started this about a billion years ago and then stopped to work on DX. now, I'm back to doing some work on this hunk of crap.

I don't really have a title for this, but the following have crept through my mind:

New SMB - funny, I actually thought this name up before NSMB was announced. =P
Manhattan project - Sounds ambitious, no?
Project Epsilon - Gay, yes, original, yes. =P

    Screens:

Setting up the story... Sounds like Sonic, he takes a vacation, gets interrupted by a crazed madman/lizard bent on world domination.

Wow, look at that fish jump. =P Showing off the main portion of the first world. The map is not done yet, and the big empty space up there is going to be "Emerald City", which will use Yoshi's Island sub-map.

Here comes a message, one that I plan to stick to.

o shit, what is this? SMB3 styled pipes, like Fu-So-Ya. The name of the guy who cracked/distributed the code escapes me...
Yeah, beat the first place already... The hills disappear, revealing this god damn place.
oshit, here's something you don't normally see in a Super Mario hack, and original idea. =P

    You were warned... =P

showing off some new enemies, possible through the wonders of Ex-Gfx.

No comment, other than "upside down plants". Also, Mario somehow found a Red Yoshi, this early. uh-oh.

This is actually my current project... I guess, even though I'm doing some work on my fangame. I plan to do a major art over-haul of the general stuff, like pipes, sprites, etc.

Also, kudos to Lunar Magic. =P

I present: Ghost Field. I've yet to see an idea like this in a SMW hack. =P

Also, and suggestions to the palette in that snapshot? I'm trying to make it look "ghosty".

awesome! I like what I'm seeing!

The ghost field would be an individual level then? Because I always felt the ghost houses in SMW were somewhat short and fast to beat (for most of em anyway). It might be interesting to combine the two into one level (make your way through the ghost field and into the ghost house, or if not, at least have one lead up to the other

Well, I could make that happen, I guess. I originally planned for the Ghost field to be the fourth place, right before Emerald City. Though now that that came up, I could put that somewhere else.

And, original/non-gay title coming soon. =P

This is looking very awesome. Great job with the SMB3-style pipes.

Do you need a beta tester? If so, I'm your guy.
