It's the video upped by Belzeemon today. http://s2beta.com/tvpics3.php Get the actual video from the cult. Beta's FTP has a higher quality version.
Try Beta's FTP and look into the Belzeemon folder. Hidden Palace the level itself looks like the same, but with final Sonic sprites.
weird, and simon this is afew other things you can add to your site. -On the first clip of Chemical Plant the force field around sonic just stays as one sprite. It is the one you can only notice when you pause the game. Its smaller and more covering. -The Springs have a higher pitched sound. -Same force field thing happens in hidden palace. But with a different sprite. -On the Emerald Hill boss, the first time Sonic hits Robotnik it makes no effect.
That's because the video is at 30fps. The one in sonic cult was the first version of my vid and I did it in WMV... it's very crappy. On the other hand the one in the FTP is more clear. I'm trying to make one with at least 640x480 and 60 fps so you can see EVERYTHING. I guess I'll have to use the S-video input of my TV-tuner card. Now you have a picture taken with the TV Tuner software where you can clearly see that Tails is called Sonic in 2 player mode
They added their own custom spring sound effect. Robotnik didn't "flash" white probably because the video is skipping frames. Yes, it did start at Sonic Cult :P This is gonna be huge o.o
Yeah... I'll try to compress in xvid to see how it results. At 640x480 the compression can be bigger because in genesis game recordings you can loss a bit of detail... I hopr you get what I mean
Nice, I'll up the enlarged splitscreen and box art soon. Also forget what I said about the boss' drill not flying out. I was being an idiot, it's supposed to fly out after the vehicle goes off-screen. And there's a small error about which way the aircraft's facing that I'll need to correct.
Well, first of all, this looks like a PAL video, since it has the thick vertical border. So it'd be better to capture at 640x480, 25fps. But the TBC used to allow keying the extra graphics over, and to record the game onto video, converts the video from effectively 312 lines at 50fps, to 625 lines at 25fps, and interlaces it. So you don't lose anything at 25fps *if* you capture at 640x480, since the 640x480 frame does contain both fields. I know it'd be big, but if you encoded it as MPEG-2 in addition to whatever you choose to encode it as, then it'll probably be able to encode each field separately, which can be a big boon for compression, since it doesn't have to encode all those changes on each scanline (you know what I mean, the shearing that you see on that 2p image above, for example).
watching this movie I have just noticed something really weird aout EHZ act 1... play the movie from 2:50 and watch VERY carefully after they go past the spikes, pay really close attension to the right hand side... as pointed by the screenshot below there is something different!! that screenshot was from our s2b and then I compaired it with the final, neither are different but that movie is... I would have given a screenshot but my media player doesn't seem to like capturing it... sorry
Yes, and I got a picture of it from the movie, too. I had to use my digital camera (you can't capture visual stuff in streaming media players with hardware acceleration on  ), so here it is. However, I don't see any difference.
take a reallly reallly close look at the top right! its got Grass! it looks like the beggining of a loop!
