See, this is what I was afraid of. Even when a decent, industry standard Sonic game comes out, the media is quick to discredit it. There really is no winning after all, and it's all because we chose to maintain an aura of tension just for the sake of fitting in. Wonderful.

2) We should get an Affidavit, signed on behalf of Sonic Retro, stating that Screwattack, and the reviewers of Sonic Unleashed, are legally retarded and should be banned from the Internet.
Have shame, Screwattack.

...actually I think that game will likely be reasonably good, maybe a bit better than Unleashed for the Wii/PS2 which is fun but pales in comparison to the offerings on the 360.

Yet it looks like Sonic Team did something very right with the day stages and their newfangled Hedgehog Engine. Plus, we really don't need to tell them to get rid of the Werehog because

My opinions in regards to this review seem universally shared with everybody else who posted in this topic, so I think it's appropriate to just say "What they said." I've stated a lot of my opinions in regards to reviews of the Sonic franchise in present day, and it's really not wise to trust any of them; this is just a more drastic example of exactly why they can't be trusted.
I hope reviews like this don't significantly damper how the game is seen by the casual gamer. It's hard to try and defend a game when its fanbase appears to be the only one to enjoy it on a large scale (whether that's even the case or not).

I wasn't going to but I thought I should explain to them where we're coming from.

From what I gathered though, Unleahed and Black Knight were deliberately done different in order to see which way the fanbase wanted the series to go. I will take Unleashed over Twing Twang Sonic any day. =P

Did they ever even stop to think that just maybe the controls are supposed to be that way?
