Sorry if this post has already been made, and sorry if I seem rude or impatient or anything like that, but I just went back to that whole Howard Drossin thing from back in 2008 and I was curious, are we still waiting for them or have they been released already? I don't think I've seen them out yet. If a post has been made on this already please direct me, I couldn't find it anywhere and I am still curious to see what they were like. Again, sorry if I violated anything or if this is a horribly inappropriate topic, but I wanted to be sure. Thanks!
<3 Anyway, there are many things people say that never come into fruition. I swear somewhere some dev had a version of the 32X predecessor of Xtreme too and we never saw that although he seemed like he was gonna let hxc have it back when. What do I know though, my memory is a bit cloudy.
lol Silly. Fixed BTW Anyway, Howard Drossin said he was going to give some of his old midis from GEMS to Chris Senn to sort through and then they were going to be released on his site I think.
Yeah, but after the whole interview mess, I think Drossin doesn't want to know anything to do with the Sonic fanbase... Way to screw up! =| (besides he said he'd give them only if he found the MIDIs, he wasn't sure if he still had them)
I thought he also brought up something about bringing out the MIDIs again on that Destroy All Slackers interview a couple of months ago that Kail and the rest of his crew set up. Correct me if I'm wrong on that claim.
He might still be willing to release them, but just forgot about it. This reminds me of the time I met Tom Payne in Madrid and told me about the maps he still had in a box. Some years later, I told Tweaker about the possibility of reminding him about those maps in the chatroom he was going to attend. Some weeks/months later he scanned and released (some of?) them, so I'd suggest somebody he's familiar with, to remind him politely about these.
Googling around, I think I found one, but you might already have this one. This one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_ZUq1rPt_4
I can't be the only one who saw this on the board's main index and thought "HOLY SHIT THEY'RE RELEASED?!?" can I? I am disappoint. Any chance of the mods locking this until something does pop up?
I was going to remind Chris Senn on his board about them a while a go, but I think he disappeared or is busy at the moment.
Changed title, sorry for misleading anyone, I really had no intention of doing that nor was it made to lead people here, I am sorry. Edit: Azu, I can definitely tell that song is not from Drossin, it sounds too distinctly Japanese to me to be from Drossin. I am not 100% certain on his exact style TBH, but I am more than certain that's not it. No worries, though, before I started going out of my way to look in to that kind of stuff, I wouldn't have noticed much of a difference myself.
From someone who was on the chat, I remember someone (Tweaker?) saying they were going to email him some Sonic 3 midis. Apparently Drossin didn't recognize, like, any of them. After that I never heard anything about Drossin. Pretty disappointing. :/ Would still like to hear the midis if they exist.
Drossin's unreleased MIDI's, and Scirocco/Buxer's unreleased MJ soundtrack for Sonic 3. These two pieces of music are what im looking forward too.
Didn't Drossin also hint at the fact that he may have a few completed tracks from Sonic Xtreme lying around? I think it's worth a shot to ask him politely about this. The only contact I can find for him is his facebook. Send him a polite message, and we'll see what happens! But maybe only one person should do it as we don't want to flood his inbox.
