If there's one for a massive influx of useful wiki updates, I think MainMemory should get it. I looked at the wiki history for everything sadx related and he's been a busy bee. Alot more than I have, that's for sure =P

I think being in the Top 50 contributors for all time is enough reward.

Edit: New Page.

This isn't the first time I've received a trophy for my awesome tool...

(arrested and severely beaten by pun police)

Seriously, though, this is a pretty sweet idea.

Feels like the community has turned into a xbox game :P

But yeah, actually taking your time to do the research and contact people to get material released in which ever form it is, should also be er, "rewarded" with this system, it's another kind of community contribution.

And I'd also suggest wiki achievements but I guess that goes without saying.

Honestly, with a decent afternoon's work you can get into the Top 50 atm - however, with Achievements involved this may well become more difficult - as it should be, really. =P Not to play down what you've done at all, mind - you've done some amazing work on SA:DX of late.

I actually just noticed my shiny badge. Kind of a fun and interesting idea for the community. Unfortunately I can't really think of anything good for an achievement that hasn't been said or isn't already in place.

I was informed by Jay about this achievements system. A nice way to stroke my ego a fair bit methinks. :3

But yeah, in all seriousness, I'm glad I'm appreciated for the small contribution I've made to the community. It makes me feel a bit more wanted.

It's a great system, actually. Rather than a fat postcount, something actually tangible to qualify a member in some way; although I notice (as have others) that none yet seem related to forum or wiki activity -- are there plans for either of these to be encouraged in a similar manner in the future?

I'll be glad if I never see any joke achievements either.

Just a couple of suggestions,

One issue about the "donator" flags is that as it does indeed credit those who donate, it also seperates the classes of the community, essentially indicating who has enough money in their life situation to donate and who doesn't. Albeit I'm being subjective in this point, it does feel rather degrading seeing the "Best Member Ever" tooltip when you may not have any opportunity to donate yourself. If those donor flags must remain, they should not indicate any sort of class as "Best Member Ever" does.

And secondly, as others have said, there should be a complete listing of all rewards, as to provide people objectives they can actually strive for. At the moment, some categories indicated throw up questionmarks such as "What constitutes an insightful post? Does my thread need a certain number of posts?" or "How does a guide get considered 'helpful'? Do a certain number of people have to use/endorse my guide?" and "How many images do I need to upload to the wiki?" or "How much do I need to donate to get acknowledged? $1? $5? $50? $100? $500?"

Look Charles! The poor think they deserve equal recognition!

You're under the impression you NEED an achievement to be part of the cool crowd. You don't. Seriously. No matter what witty 1-picture-post Chimpo has to offer.
