I'll admit it: Twitter kind of makes me groan every time I think about it. However, it's a great medium for a site like Retro: a way to keep people up to date on status changes, news and events, and general stupidity. Therefore, I've gone ahead and set up a Sonic Retro Twitter feed:

http://twitter.com/sonicretro

Follow us today! :D

I have been looking for a clip of this for AGES. Thank you XD

For what it's worth, it's probably about time we got on Twitter =P

Honestly, I love Twitter. It's absolutely great for getting wind of news before a lot of other sources, if you're following the right people. Great to see Retro on it - it goes without saying I'm now following it.

Whatever happened to IRC, anyway? Just not enough room in the topic for everything? :P

eh I still see no point in Twitter. It's just this years in thing. I look forward to Retro having a Burgle (does not exist yet to my knowledge. =P) feed next year.

IRC is too much of a hassle to get onto for most of Western culture these days. If it's not instant, it's not happening. Besides, when you do get onto #retro to check the latest info in the channel topic, you're greeted with "<Sik> I eat lots of shit". Hardly newsworthy. :P (well not anymore, but there's always silly and nonsense in it)

I haven't been on Twitter in the last month. Logged in just to follow. <3

We could say the very same thing about every service in existence on Internet, really.

Besides, Twitter seems to be used more for work than for random personal "blahbling" :P Although I don't use Twitter much, I have an account only because I don't want to miss what Sega says on their own Twitter :X (I know, I could access their Twitter page directly, but who cares :P). Which reminds me... *goes to check*
