The air dash is actually pretty fun to use, so I don't mind it existing in-game. Having the ability to remove the homing attack, however, would be a godsend.

I thought modifying the physics was proven to be problematic?

Yeah guys, a little less talk about things that are close to impossible, and more talk about hacking that is actually easily possible.

Think you could produce a Straight Line act and show a Wii build at some point?

So have you "fixed" the physics yet then or is that still ongoing?

That credit should mostly be given to Endri. He actually had the collision placement figured out for months but didn't know it. Dimps put the art and collision placement in 2 separate files, but they use the same format to place them onscreen. I just figured that out yesterday which means we can start getting somewhere with this.

Well then you and endri are very amazing people!

Guys, this is just a level editor possibility not a "Fix everything and making S4 perfect" possibility.

Does level layout editing include removing the dumb convex curves?

Lacking enough knowledge of code, I know I'm setting myself up to look extremely stupid.

But as you were saying the art and collision are kept in two separate files... does this apply to models as well? Would it be conceivable to replace Sonic's model with sprites and apply it to the existing collision?

Of course all the models are in separate files, a giant clusterfuck file would be kind of stupid. But no it's not even conceivable to turn Sonic into a sprite.

Can you replace Sonic with a Red Sonic with sprinkles?

Making model importers is one of the most complicated things to do. I don't think anyone will ever care enough to make one for the format that Riders, 06, Secret Rings, Black Knight, and Sonic 4 all use.

Edit: Yes Chimpo, yes I can.

Just curious. I wouldn't mind finishing my own model if a model importer were feasible.
