Wow, a Sonic 3 and Knuckles hack :P Haven't seen much of those here, and one that has custom arts too!

I like the old hud better though.

Looks awesome. I'm excited for this because I have seen few S3&K hacks before now. My only suggestion is for Radon Ravine, maybe consider lightening up the pallete, or put a few more colors in, to break up all the blue/black. Either way, this looks awesome. Can't wait to see more. I don't really have a problem with crossovers either way. We already have them with games like the Super Smash Bros series, Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, etc.

Yeah you were right on that one so have redone the pallette to break up the monotonous pallette. :)/>

Now here is a look at the art for Bonbon Bonanza Act 1

Huh, this was a pleasant surprise.

Not only do I think you caught a genuine Genesis feeling, but you actually made a Sonic 3 and knuckles hack that isn't a level redesign with a slightly different palette.

I wish you luck in this endeavor.

Oh wow, a custom level which looks good, in Sonic 3 of all things? Now I'm impressed.

And yes, sorry for the late comment, you know I kinda left Sonic Retro years ago and now I'm slowly catching up again.

That Launch Base Zone and Sky Sanctuary art is looking great so far. It's really refreshing to see more art hacks for Sonic 3. :thumbsup:/>

Wow. I'm awe struck. I don't want to repeat what everyone else said, but I'm really excited for this hack. Especially seeing as I haven't seen a single S3K hack with any form of art change before (even though disassemblies cracked that open a while ago  ). But why won't you post a download? Even a crummy beta demo with only the first one or two zones would have me hooked! Besides, just from experience, I've learned it's always best to get multiple opinions about level design, object placement, and general level flow. Even if you know what your doing XD.

I'm really liking the look of Bonbon Bonanza. Gives me nostalgia of old classics such as Zool and Robocod.

Thats where alot of the art comes from. The candy canes are from zool and the liquorice allsorts, clouds and other foreground stuff is from Robocod. Always wanted to make a level using art from those games cause I love it so much. Pleased with the final result :). Act 2 is like a completely seperate zone.

This project is still going

For new year. I thought I'd give you a look at the new art for Sunset Vista (Marble Garden)

Posted Image
Act 1 takes place on top of a mountain range looking down onto a large Aqueduct. In time you will see why there is a portrait of Knuckles in the wall.

Posted Image
A look at the new internal section art. Note the new pillars and the crushers have been made to match

Posted Image
Act 2 takes us deeper into the old citadel where we see large candle lit ornaments adorning the wall.

Posted Image
There is alot of candles here too. In time you will see why.

Posted Image
Get higher up and a glitzy city can be seen in the background. We'll be going there in the next zone.

Posted Image
And a look at the new Gumball stage art.

Please enjoy and happy new year everyone :)/>
