I just realized it's the third year anniversary of my hack's first release. Feel like showing some more work in progress.

(It's definetly gone in a whole new direction from it's first incarnation.)

Well, as nice as the art looks, its far to flat. The grass pops out so much, where as the ground doesn't. You could possibly add some blocks that are both convex and concave.

I'll have to be honest, I really love how the top of the loop isn't a straight horizontal line, I don't know why, but even such a small detail such as a very subtle slope makes it look much better.

As I said in the post, it's a work in progress and doesn't represent how the final design will come out. And you can be sure I'll be creating a more variety of tiles. I thank you for your suggestion.
If anyone else has anything to add, feel free to do so.

This more or less =)
If I had to criticise in any way, it would be that the loop is too circular, basically something on the lines of
this. BUT IT'S MINOR AND I CAN LIVE WITH THAT, plus I don't think many of us care in that respect, it looks good from a design point of view and if it works, then it's good enough for me =P

.. Xenowhirl.. just.. XD; jesus christ..
How'd you get enough VRAM for Sonic/Tails/Knuckles? Seeing as Team Player supports up to 4 players, is there room for a fourth character? :P

Good God. That's awesome, the team player and yoshi add-in. I can't imagine how long it took you to do that.

Both of those mods look unbelievable. Literally unbelievable. That's how awesome they look. As a huge fan of SMW2, I can't wait to see that Yoshi hack in action.

Aw, dammit. Time to scratch another WIP hack that someone's beaten me to.
Also, seconding what Marc said; how'd you get the VRAM space?

QUOTE (Xenowhirl @ Nov 1 2010, 12:32 PM)

It's been a while...
"Team player" controls anyone? I just started this. I'll call it "Sonic and Tails and Knuckles in Sonic 2" if no one has a better idea. All three of them are capable of going Super separately too, but I don't know if I should give them separate ring counts or what.
That's what I call a comeback!
Are Tails and Knuckles A.I. controlled? I think I'll keep all the questions to me, since my post will end tl;dr. ;P
But seriously, good job!
EDIT: IMO, they should share the rings. :P

"Team Player" looks interesting. Can the main character be changed like what Sonic Heroes does? If that is possible, perhaps you could edit the life counter to show all three and have some sort of highlight on the main player?
