My post kinda got blown past, but I wanted to repost it, just for anyone who missed it.

Sonic Generations, Unofficial Original SoundTrack

All tracks credit Sega
All tracks ripped by TZ

These tracks are modified from files ripped from a
legitimate copy of Sonic Generations, then patched together,
normalized, and looped a little bit in Audacity. Unless you
own your own copy of Sonic Generations, you should not have
these files.

Go buy the game, then enjoy its wonderful soundtrack.

note: Tracks are not of the highest possible quality and are
not in their intended order. Buy the official soundtrack
if and when it comes out if you want something better.

Green Hill - Green
Seaside Hill - Green
Planet Wisp - Green

Speed Highway - City
City Escape - City
Crisis City - City
Rooftop Run - City

I didn't realize this until my sister mentioned it to me and it kinda pissed me off a little. Still in disbelief that they chose Seaside Hill over Casino Park or BINGO Highway.

Well that's a helluva lot better than 4s and 5s. Good going SEGA. See you tonight, Generations.

Reviews Update 2: Review Overload

IGN
It feels refreshing to be able to say that Sonic is good again. His upward trajectory over the last year continues and he's only gaining momentum. Sonic Generations is largely a game for the most hardcore of Sonic fans, but for the millions who have fond memories of narrowly dodging spikes, grinding on rails, or even that time he was a pinball, Sonic Generations is a game made for you. Score: 8.5

Videogameszone.de
Sonic Generations takes the player on a voyage through 20 years of Sonic history. Pairing 2D-Levels with 3D-Stages Generations offers the best of both worlds and provides fans of the franchise with tons of unlockable art, music and gimmicks. Hands down one of the best Sonic games in the last 10 years. Score: 8.5

Meristation
Sonic Generations delivers what fans have been looking for with a successful combination of classic and modern gameplay, both of them polished and highly replayable, making this latest Sonic game the path to follow for future releases. Score: 8.5

Destructoid
While it's not quite the stunning triumph that many had hoped for, Sonic Generations is a truly great game that provides some of the best Sonic action ever seen and pays fitting tribute to Sonic the Hedgehog -- highlighting both his successes and his failures. Score: 8.0

Jeux Video
SEGA confirms their mascot's return to form with Sonic Generations. While the game suffers from some minor gameplay issues and framerate issues, the game is no less beautiful and has a ton of fanservice. With its dual gameplay scheme, Sonic Generations is a worthy celebration of Sonic the Hedgehog's history on home consoles, designed for both nostalgic fans and newcomers alike. Score: 8.0

GamesRadar
This is easily the best Sonic game since the hog's Sonic 2 glory days. Surprisingly, modern Sonic's levels are the more impressive and fun and, while low-speed control is still clumsy, the wealth of quality action scenes cherry-picked from the past two decades make the overwhelming majority of Sonic Generations an absolute blast. Score: 8.0

Now Gamer (360)
A brilliantly designed and painstakingly fan-pleasing exploration of Sonic's history, with most of the failures cut out. While the 2D platforming could be peppier, it stands in thoughtful contrast to the surprisingly rollicking 3D sections. A field day for fans, and a damn good platformer in its own right. Score: 8.4

Now Gamer (PS3)
Sonic Generations is a genuine delight. Some genuinely imaginative and exciting level design recaptures that core thrill - of rolling a hedgehog around a colourful fantasy world – that endeared so many to Sonic two decades ago. Score: 7.9

CVG
On the Xbox and PS3 versions the 2D versions of the worlds feel like they could be - should be - much smoother. That said Sonic Generations is a great game for pressing out the fluids from a hyperactive nostalgia gland. Generations hits its target well - with the genuinely bruising qualification that it can frequently be difficult to look at. Score: 7.5

Metro GameCentral
A great 20th anniversary gift for Sonic fans and although it can never make up for all the series' low points it at least helps draw a line under them. Score: 7.0

.

The Metacritic average stands at 81. Good to great reviews from almost everyone. This is the best reviewed Sonic game in forever. It's a relief to see a Sonic game being reviewed so well again. Hopefully commercial success will follow the extremely positive critical reception. It appears Sonic Team created a great game.

PS. Out of every review I have read GamesRadar's review was the best one. The guy played it for two weeks and reached a hundred percent completion.

Planet Wisp is an Expy of the Lauch Base, Seaside Hill is more Aquatic Ruin than anything, Crisis City is a Fire stage ala Lava Reef, and Rooftop Run follows the Carnival Trope in this game.
City Escape and Speed Highway are the ones that are too similar.

Yes it could be better, but it isn't as bad that someone could put them on a list like that.

In that way of thinking I could also group some stages together in Sonic 2 really.

Crisis City from what I can see, seems to feel more like a desolate land and less like an actual "City," despite its title.

Hehehe I like your little legal disclaimer :v:.

Just curious, why are normal game tracks in there as well? were they apart of the music selection system or something?

Does anybody know if you can unlock all of the original songs for the levels? So far, I've only seen Green Hill and Chemical Plant in videos.

I just want to permanently replace Modern Planet Wisp with the original song.

The game supports custom soundtracks.

I've gotta say, all this critical praise is making me even more stoked for tomorrow, and pissed that I can't get it until the afternoon if I want to be awake for school. Surprisingly, reviews have said they prefer Modern over Classic, when I was sure it'd be the other way around.

See you tomorrow, Sonic. I eagerly await this romp through the series history.
