Tired of the paltry selection of Saturn games locally, and my unwillingness to pay through the nose for games older than some high-school freshmen, I went looking for a way to play rarer Saturn games on official hardware more affordably. I found this device. Problem is, it's out of stock. The proprietor won't return my emails, and I can't find another seller through Google, so I'm in a bit of a bind here. Does anyone know any other seller of this modchip, or another that works easily on Model 1 Saturns?

Have you tried the disk swap trick? You only need 1 legal random game. Link

I had heard that the swap trick damages the drive motor, so I was hoping to avoid that.

That chip works on all JVC drives, but not with the Sanyo model. Which is odd because the prototype version of the same chip worked with it, as well as the old EMSIC7-1 they used as a base.

You can order them from Consolegoods, note that they don't have it listed because of Paypal reasons, but you can still email the guy and ask for them.
