I'm honestly shocked at the number of people across multiple boards who didn't realize his waiting animations came from the classic games. I mean... really? It wasn't obvious to anybody else?
I noticed them all except for the Sonic 3D blast waiting. I'm surprised they remember that game exists.

And I'm surprised it hasn't been re-released on XBLA/PSN/WiiWare. Maybe they'll port the 32-bit version when they get around to their Saturn titles.

The boss music in Sonic 4 is a scrapped song from Sonic 3D Blast. In fact, Sonic 3D blast keeps popping up again and again and again in Sonic, from remixes in Sonic Adventure to inclusions in just about every Sonic collection. Sega has never really shy'd away from Sonic 3D Blast's existence. I dunno why you're surprised.

I'm surprised about things that people are surprised about and surprised no one is surprised at how surprised I am.
Seriously though, it's neat that they still use classic waiting animations for Modern. I remember when I saw Sonic 2's lying down pose in Unleashed for the first time. Felt good man.

During Gamespot's E32008 Unleashed special with good ol' Patrick Riley, right? Where he dicks around with the camera at the beginning of Windmill Isle Act 2 while Sonic lays down? Yeah. That did feel good.

When you get to the end of checkout, it drops down to 84.99. Or at least it did before. US it's about 135 shipped.

This is probably were they'll use Colors' Jaws badnik, Hydocity is nowhere to be seen and this and Chemical Plant are the only levels with water, I doubt they would just waste Jaws' redesign using it on a single game.

FWIW, I believe it's on Steam. But then I haven't really looked.

Genesis version.
People would actually give two shits if the Saturn version was released digitally.

Like other people, I knew about all of them except for the 3D Blast one. I thought it looked familiar, but I never thought they'd reference anything from that game (that's the only 3D Blast reference that we know of, isn't it?).
It was a nice surprise, like so many stuff from this game.

The Mega Drive Sonic 3D has been available on the Wii's Virtual Console since late 2007.
