I've read plenty of articles that explain that Sonic Adventure was polished up quite a bit between the original Japanese release and the international release, but I can't seem to find a ton of info on this. Is there any place I can read about all of the known differences and glitches that were removed from the international release?

There are a lot of great guides that explain the differences between the Dreamcast version and GameCube port, and I'm assuming those are all referring to US and EU Dreamcast copies.

I must be blind because I bought Jap version off eBay and played Sonic's story right through and didn't notice any difference.

It's just minor changes. They changed a few camera angles in some custscenes, fixed a few small bugs(and added more).

The international version came almost an entire year later, so there would be some significant changes wouldn't there? Besides the added English dialogue, I read that they dropped their whole ideology with the camera and that it should point in the direction you're supposed to go. So there's that... I actually have a copy of the regular Japanese Sonic Adventure but I can't find a boot disc to get it to load on my Dreamcast that doesn't require Discjuggler or Nero since I don't want to install either of those pieces of software.

Mount the image in Daemon tools and do a straight disk-to-disk copy.

There's some information in the wiki. Most of the important stuff is detailed, but they seem to allude to some minor changes of which aren't stated. Because they're probably tiny, they probably aren't worth noting, or this phrase has been used to generalise changes which either haven't been noticed or can't be remembered.

This is already on the wiki but, whatever. This cowgirl is not in any version other than the original Japanese release.

To me it's the most interesting change.

I wonder why they did it, it's not exactly provocative, but whatever.

It's provocative enough with those massive knockers, the sexy pose and glass of wine. Though come the sequel they introduced an actual character who's got two of those things going for her...

Is there a video showing the cowgirl in action? I've never seen it working in-game before.

Crappy video but watch the whole way through to hear the suggestive moan-like sound that it emits when you jump against it.

In the later versions it was replaced with this thing:

Well I'm considering doing Sonic Adventure speed running, and I'm trying to figure out which version would be the best to do it with. So if the original Jap version has a ton of tiny glitches that can be abused to go faster, that'd be good to know.

Lol WUT?? That almost seems too weird to be real. If the player had triggered it more than once, I'd be less inclined to believe that noise was them crapping their pants and that's why the video ended directly afterwards.
