I'm getting my hands on a copy of the 2004 PC release of Sonic Adventure DX, and I'm hyped! Apart from the obvious Dreamcast conversion mods, which I'll be installing, what are some other cool mods?

(Also, does the fact that my copy is PAL mean anything?)

You'll need to use PkR's installer or just download the US EXE to use mods.

As for good mods, there's SADX Heroes, Character Select, Physics Swap, Ghost Mod (or the other version), and the best mod, Big in a Dress.

Oh, so PkR's installer is like SADX Mod Manager kinda, yeah?

It sets up SADX for mods.

The installer just makes it easier for complete newcomers to install the Mod Loader and the mods you have selected. Think of it as a script that does everything you'd have to do manually to install the Mod Loader/Manager and a few mods. Well it's a bit more involved than a simple script, but you get the idea.

There's a Mirror Mode mod by SonicFreak94 that's pretty neat - a simple enough concept, but it's amazing how simply mirroring the levels can make it feel fresh. I switched it on while replaying levels to get animals for Chao-raising, and it greatly improved the whole experience for me. = )
