Okay, well, hopefully you all know about this by now, but if you don't, I'm working pretty regularly on a disassembly of the Sonic CD 510 beta. It's coming along at a decent pace, and I'm also updating the SCHG as I go. Seeing as it's something people in the community would take an interest in anyway, (and ScarredSun explicitly said so) I'm proposing that we add this to the svn. Now I am not the most svn savvy person out there, but I'll do my best to insure that everything stays the way it is (oh, and to anyone that considers working on this, feel free to do so, so long as you ensure 1:1 building with the original file using asm68k, I can't stress that enough)
Absolutely this should be on the SVN. Will you be using S1-style labelling (I believe this was the consensus in the tech lounge)? I'll be working on the non-beta SCD when I get the chance, which will presumably share a lot of stuff with 510 that can be copied over.
By Sonic 1 style labeling do you mean the names of subroutines the two games have in common or what? If you look at my topic in E&RE you can get a feel for how I'm organizing things. Edit: Link for convenience: http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=23864
As long as the source is clean, You've got my vote! I think it's great that we're finally starting a community SCD disassembly (regardless of the version). nice one!
Umm... I guess so, I am using Sonic 1 as a reference for a lot of this, so anything in common will likely be named as such. :P
