    ザ・タイピング・オブ・ザ・デッド featuring 楽天 みんなの就職活動日記

    "The Typing of the Dead featuring ....."

    apparently this is a variant of The Typing of the Dead, in which all the words are replaced with ones about getting a job. Currently breaking up The Typing of the Dead to keep things a bit more managable.

    Can someone with a non-TMSS Mega Drive test the Japanese After Burner II? I think I found another one without TMSS... The US/EU one does have TMSS.

    Who is Michiharu Nisihasi? He's the only one of Pulseman's programmers who I can't confirm definitely worked at Game Freak because Pulseman seems to be the only thing he's associated with, and I'm seeing a code style similarity in a completely unrelated Mega Drive game...

    Was Flicky really not released in the US? I remember playing it on Sega Channel.

    EDIT: Oh wait, completely misread that.

    This is in After Burner II on the Genesis. You can get to it piece by piece with a cheat code that takes effect at different places in the game. Where the hell did they get this?! I know there's a 2ch post that mentions the strings but it isn't working right now and Miles Prower mentioned some code book he owns?

    I know it's taken straight from some other game, but I can't remember its name right now.

    There's a bunch of strings that can be unlocked via different button/stick combos in the arcade version, too, which differ from the text on the Mega Drive.

    Tom = F14 Tomcat
    Mia = Missing in Action

    ??

    Also something oddly interesting

    Dynamite Dux has you save a woman called Lucy, and there's someone in the credits called "match".

    Huh. Maybe then it was just the porting team doing something similar? :/ Also I'm curious about PASSWORD IS T.K but it doesn't do anything on a failed run :/

    Did Tengen have a license with Sega to produce the NES ports? I know at least the Alien Syndrome one is an edited version of the Sunsoft one, so did they technically violate Sega/Sunoft IP?

    That code was mentioned in Spanish magazines from back in the day, as well. It's just the "full refill code", isn't it?

    Yes, though no site on the Internet has the code correctly until now... I wasn't aware it was already known :/ My question was about the text itself: where did it come from?

    As I already said, it was taken from some other game, though I can't remember the name (nor the source of the information, to be fair). Maybe look in what other games Dempa worked on?

    Also:
    The analog joystick code will emulate the joypad and store the appropriate values in the relevant variable. This is needed for menus to work, and I assume cheat codes should work off this as well. I doubt they bothered to program separate cheat codes for the analog joystick.

    Sega used "ROM emulator" boards (mentioned several times in the documentation) or, in other words: RAM. So they could pretty much write wherever they wanted in the cartridge space. I know there was also a 68000-side debugger that worked this way, first you loaded the program as usual, and then the debugger would proceed to overwrite the 68000 vectors.

    Anything on one of their crazy black cartridges didn't have a license from Nintendo.

    But the boxes say they had a license from Sega

    This is supposedly the credits music used in the Mega Drive port of OutRunners.

    I can't find this in the game's sound test. Is it unused?
