I'm just going to leave this here... I am not a legalize guy, so I don't understand the document very well, but I think this just shows how negligent Sega has been with this IP.
Might help to try for the correct spelling of Puyo Puyo in the title. Supposedly this is only for the IP rights in the West, which is definitely kind of odd.
What could this mean for games release in the future ? Not that puyo puyo ever had a strong presence in the west, but still...
So who gets the rights to distribution in the west now? Compile's dead so...? I guess what this means is we're never getting another Puyo game in the west ever again, despite Puyo Puyo Tetris doing well.
