I got myself the Flashback HD, and these days it is modable (there is a Mini-USB port on the main board, just gotta do a bit of hacking) I added Sonic 3, and a bunch of other games including the Genesis Megamix. Sound is better than older unit, it doesn't grate the ears like the older ones

Has anyone here personally touched an AtGames console yet? I haven't heard anything since before it launched last year. Were the review copies really duds?

If you already have an Everdrive, why not just get original hardware? With knockoff emulation hardware AND a flashcart, you'd be better off just getting a RaspPi retro console set up.

I don't have an everdrive yet, I'm just looking at one and the Flashback because my birthday is in 3 days and eBay doesn't have the fastest shipping, plus the Flashback can run game cartridges from any region.

Nonetheless I'm going to take your advice into consideration, so thanks for letting me know.

Edit with stuff I forgot to add: I was also looking at the Flashback because it has multiplayer games such as Mortal Kombat II and III, games I haven't played in years such as Sonic Chaos and Triple Trouble and because I have no idea is that "Super Retro 3 in 1" is complete garbage or not.

Yeah, no problem. You can play all those games you listed and way more on a Raspberry Pi console, could even get a little Genesis themed case 3D-printed or modded for it if you wanted. Feel free to DM me if you don't feel like googling this stuff, I think you'd find "making" your own system is going to give you better results than any of these plug-and-play things.

Quick Question: Does the AtGames Flashback HD recognize Master System Games when plugged in with an adapter? I'm very curious.

Also in regards to other AtGames systems, our very own Esrael has been working on an alternate loader for those systems which can be added via SD card, allowing for perfect sound emulation among other improvements. Here is the topic on Retro about it: http://forums.sonicr...pid=924164&st=0
