Link to the original pic here. What's interesting though, paper being paper is slightly translucent. This allows for this kind of editing: Crush 40, from what I've noticed only write sonic specific songs when there's a new game, so what does "Sonic Youth" mean, especially with the direct lyric references to "Open Your Heart", and "Live and Learn". :v:

Yeah! This is great news to me. I highly despise the new music style they're using lately, with all those vocoder crap and happy-wappy dance. Crush 40 is very important to the feeling Sonic had and,in my opinion, should have, so is great news to me!
I'm with ashthedragon, I love Crush 40's songs, and even growing up playing the classics, I always imagined some of the songs being the socalled "buttrock"
I'd guess it's for a side game. The main series has largely dumped rock for more orchestral or synth arrangements, whereas the last few spinoffs like Black Knight have kept the Crush 40 style. Plus it's a bit early for another main series game, since we just got two back-to-back.
May be the potential soundtrack for Sonic 4 episode II!!! :specialed: *shot* Looking forward to hearing them though. Crush 40 has been consistently good to me.
It's funny, speaking of vocoder and such, I remember when Bentley Jones was Jun Senoue's favorite music monkey before he got dropped for Cash Cash. >.>
I wouldn't mind a cover of Endless Possibility, since it's the first ending song they skipped a cover of
I was actually thinking more along the lines of what they did with Fire Woman. Just doing another song that would fit well with them while having nothing to do with Sonic or any other game.
Crush 40 has always been a guilty pleasure for me. Regardless of quality or lack thereof, I will be listening to these songs and enjoying them all I hope its just an album, I don't want a new main game quite yet, they need to let the franchise catch its breath just a little bit.
Crush 40 songs have referenced earlier themes before (e.g., "a million faces" in both What I'm Made Of and I Am), I wouldn't put too much money on an SA3.
I would both like to see an actual SA3 and more old school rock tunes. I don't care much for the orchestral stuff myself.
If Crush 40 makes new songs for the next Sonic game, great. I really enjoyed the musical diversity in Sonic Generations and I'd like to see more games in the future with a lot of musical diversity as well. A couple of musicians who I really hope gets a larger role again in the music department for future Sonic games are Naofumi Hataya and Richard Jacques. Both of those men did such a great job in Sonic Generations and they definitely deserve to be used more in the series. Edit- For the record, I loved all the songs in the "Modern era" from Sonic Generations so I hope those musicians don't go anywhere either. Edit- I also don't want Cash Cash to disappear either, but they are probably my least favorite musicians of the bunch. Their Big Arms remix was one of the best musical highlights though.
I have a feeling this may be an SA 3... I mean, didn't Lizuka (I don't think I spelled that right... but we all know who I'm talking about) recently say that if so many people like Sonic Adventure-Style gameplay, we may see a bit of it again? Honestly, I LOOVE the direction the recent Sonic games have been taking. The more surreal, ultra-fast-paced, games with kooky stories and Pixar-Style graphics. I think it's great! BUUT, it'd be cool to see Sega step back and go back to the Adventure Style every once in awhile. Almost like a spin-off (WITHOUT swords and genies, please...) I mean, we got to see Classic Sonic-Styled gameplay come back (which was way past cool!) So, we might as well get some more Dreamcast-style stuff too! City Escape and Speed Highway looked SOO sweet in HD, it'd be neat to see more of that style again, and it wouldn't be Sonic Adventure without Crush 40, would it?
Hardline was a way better band than Crush 40 will ever be. Especially when they had Neal Schon on guitars damn it.
