That barrel likes to squash me when I'm distracted by all the pretty colours. That still gives me more grief than being stuck on the barrel trap.

I have this problem, as with Casino Night, and whenever I play as Tails because his tails are just so damn mesmerizing...

Springs that send you back to where you came from, that are awkwardly placed.

What types of springs that send you back are NOT awkwardly placed?

The kind you don't have time to react to, I assume.

I'm not surprised that pits are the most voted. I guess I've got used to them, personally. One particular gimmick apart from The Barrel™ that annoys me are the up-and-down platforms in Spring Yard Zone that completely throw off your groove and take forever to get out of. argh.gif

Spikes. Ever since my first Sonic game I've hated them more than anything else in Sonic games.

That reminds me of the elevators in Casino Night. They annoy me as well.

The elevators in Casino Night aren't drawn-out by any stretch of the imagination, though.

I'm not trying to sound like I'm bashing your opinion, but how is voting for something because everybody voted for something else at all productive?

Bottomless pits, for sure. They pop out of nowhere, they waste your lives, they almost always have trap-springs to send you flying down one, and all it does is add a cheap difficultly.

I would rather have an entire underwater game than one that took place high up on canyons where they would be sure to use them.

I do, because it only covers one act and one zone, not all.

I can't fool around spin dashing all over Chemical Plant Zone because of time limits.
