I decided to randomly watch a new series besides my usual weekly and decided to watch this. Then THIS came up: Anyone know SEGA's involvement?
As far as I can tell, Sega Networks just make mobile games: http://sega-net.com Maybe they have the license for a game.
A game came out last month and it was by Namco Bandai. As the Sega Networks logo is in every episode it has to be something else (the anime ended today).
It has something to do with a new RPG called Chain Chronicle. Here's the website: http://chronicle.sega-net.com/7-taizai_cp/
Ah, Japan-only. Wondered why I didn't recognise it. Basically characters from 7tai were limited-time event arcana (characters) recruitable in Chain Chronicle, probably in the featured recruitment list for that period. Also Chain Chronicle isn't new. But it is great.
Hmm...I read up on this sometime last night but I thought the event happened before the anime started. Chain Chronicle is also getting an anime.
From August 28, 2016 to September 18, 2016 a four episode special was aired called "The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War". Sammy was involved: Season 2 of Nanatsu no Taizai started airing January 13, 2018. Sega is involved: Anyone know what these are about?
Possibly licensing related for distribution or something, I seem to remember Sega cards on episodes of Haruhi Suzumiya...
There's some kind of crossover thing with another barely documented Japanese-only Sega game - "Hortensia Saga": It's above my pay grade. Or below.
