I expected the cat to fill a little more of the screen - can you double or triple it in size?

Otherwise, a good start here. Needs the stars, too =P

The song itself is just what, a 3 second long piece plus a 27 second piece that loops over and over..... Is it possible to use the actual audio without pushing the rom over any technical limits?

I don't see why not - MarkyTheJester did looping PCM music in Jester's Challenge and it works in an emulator just fine.
