I haven't seen any, do they exist? If so, I'm interested I'm buying some. This topic can also help SEGA Retro if you provide a nice large list, so GOGOGOGOGOGO.

Edit: And I'm not talking about the save feature type that Golden Axe: The Legend of Ax Battler had, which is password based. This thread is strictly for battery save feature.

The Shining Force series says Hi.

Specifically, the two Gaiden games and Final Conflict.

An incomplete list, only listing games available in Japan; these are indicated by a [B] here and here:

Dragon Crystal
Crystal Warriors (no US release)
Shining Force: Sword of Hajya (no EU release)
Magical Puzzle Popils (Tengen)

And only released in Japan:
Kinetic Connection (puzzle game, no Japanese knowledge required)
Eternal Legend: Eien no Densetsu
Shining Force Gaiden
Madou Monogatari I
Sonic Drift, apparently
Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible (apparently rereleased on the Game Boy Color here?)
Madou Monogatari II
J. League GG Pro Striker '94
Moldorian: Hikari to Yami no Sister
Madou Monogatari III
Magic Knight Rayearth
Sylvan Tale
Royal Stone: Hirakareshi Toki no Tobira
Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible Special
Shining Force Gaiden: Final Conflict
Magic Knight Rayearth 2: making of magic knight
Godzilla: Kaijuu Daishingeki
Neko Daisuki!
Pet Club Inu Daisuki!
Taisen-gata Daisenryaku G (SystemSoft)
World Derby (CRI)
SD Gundam: Winner's History (Bandai)
Madou Monogatari A (Compile)
Super Momotarou Dentetsu III (Hudson)
Lunar: Sanposuru Gakuen (Game Arts)

your choice as to whether or not this means we got cheated

Might be a good idea to find a way to archive the list.

Man, we really got fucked out of games with memory saves. It's no wonder why the Game Boy was more successful.
