EDIT: I have the disk now and I am working on dumping. More info/video can be seen in my post below. (http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=35435&view=findpost&p=859877)

From now on to match the DRX builds I'll refer to this build as 10.13 seeing as 10.8 was 5 days before my build and 11.18 was a month later.

    EDIT2: Added Worms 3D iso: http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=35435&view=findpost&p=860096

    Original post below:
    ===========
    Hey all,

I know my last release wasn't that great due to the disk having bitrot but I am hoping this one will appeal more. I recently found a seller who has Sonic Heroes build date 13/10/03 marked as B2 on disk plus a very late Worms 3D review build both for GameCube. The cost was £226 but I am coming up a little short on funds and was wondering if SonicRetro would be interested in helping out?

All I am asking is for £76 having already paid £150. The £76 if agreed can be sent to a respected member of SonicRetro. This will be needed before the 12th of May and in turn soon as my dumping tools arrive I'll release both disks.

The Sonic Heroes build is 5 days roughly after beta 10.8 so it should have many changes hopefully.

    Thanks for reading.

Some artwork, a ZZT game, and a hack.
In regards to the money. Are you looking for donations or are you looking to see if someone can lend it to you and you give the money back afterwards? Also, would it be easier to provide your email that's linked to your Paypal instead?

While the date written on the disc suggests it's 5 days later from the 10.8 build, there is a chance the actual build date within it's data might be earlier then even the 10.8 build. It's definitely worth looking into I think. Plus, it's another prototype for the archives.

Money's been tight lately so donations would be prefered if possible. If not I am happy to pay back but it might be a little while. Why I was a little uneasy posting this thread as I don't like to ask for money.

As for posting my Paypal email, Not really a fan of that also but I can setup the Paypal.me link which doesn't give the email I don't think.

This is what I was thinking also. I've noticed some disks have wrong dates written etc.

Also here's a picture from the Auction sadly it's the only picture showing the disk and the NR Readers cables cover the date slightly.

  4. I don't have a lot to give towards this as I just bought parts for a PC, but if you post a paypal link or something I can toss a few dollars your way to help and I'm sure others would be willing to as well

Very sorry for not updating this I've been away and busy.

I would like to thank everybody who made offers of donations, Good news is I managed to have the cash aside in time to pay and the disk should be here soon.

I am hoping to have dumps released within the next month or so. I have a drive that's been downgraded that should read the disks which I shall be trying tomorrow with some unreleated Wii disks. If this works soon as the Sonic Heroes/Worms 3D disks turn up I'll have dumps done.

Once again, Very sorry for not updating this it's been insane lately. Just got home 30 minutes back and jumped on to reply to pm's.

  7. It's good to hear that this one didn't slip through the cracks! Thank you for the update

Not a problem, Another update the disks are here!

Will try to fire up the NR Reader shortly to see if I can spot any changes.

EDIT: So the Heroes disk has the final titlescreen and is in English which seems inline with build 11.18, It seems to have some debug stuff as holding l/r enables some text on screen but no settings. I don't have a second controller else I would try another port.

The Worms 3D disk appears to be final, It doesn't work on the NR Reader so I pulled out an old retail gamecube and it loaded. I can dump this disk straight away but the Heroes one I'll have to do later as I need to pull the drive to bit to do a swapdisk.

EDIT2: So the debug options from 10.8 are in this build won't list them but it's on the 10.8 wiki. Also, Holding l/r + a/x/y will skip a level but sometimes this causes characters to glitch. Sometimes they have missing body's with just floating heads and in one case I had two knuckles heads floating. (No clue if this happens in 10.8) Also when holding l/r + a/x/y it'll give all collectables from that level. The ADX logo is also present like 10.8. The Mission clear screen overlaps out of view.

EDIT3: Doing some iphone footage for now till it's dumped, Here's a couple of funny screenshots when the no body glitch happens after you skip a level.

It crashes after Stage 6 sadly.

EDIT4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3FDap5_dC4 Video recorded from my iPhone. The disk is running on a Nintendo NR Reader.
I've tried to record it as clear as possible, You will hear me laugh at one bit and I am sorry for that. :P The constant "Yeahs!" are me spamming the skip level combo. Also, The skip level combo doesn't stop intros playing so it might seem like it's glitching out but that's normal as odd as it seems.

That glitch looks hilarious, I love it. :v: It kinda reminds me of this glitch, which happens because of the same reason (The game tries to draw both in-game and cutscene models together I guess.).

I believe this is the same glitch.

@Any staff reading it is ok to link non sonic stuff here right? Since the Worms 3D disk was on a retail disk. (but beta still) I could dump it and have already but I posted it on another site for now. It's still SEGA related though as it has a SEGA intro removed in the final and replaced with Acclaim's.

Should be fine. Pretty sure we allow non-Sega proto discussion as well (in other subforums but eh).

Awesome, Thank you wasn't sure on non-sonic related stuff.

Quick update, The Worms 3D link will be below, I mentioned that this had a SEGA intro yet the final had Acclaim's I found out that PAL Worms 3D disks were released by SEGA but in the USA they were done by Acclaim. Another cool thing, This has an unused intro. It might be on the PC/Xbox/PS2 version's but I am not sure.

I am currently awaiting a second drive to do the dump of Sonic Heroes. If I have no luck I'll be contacting DRX or Orengefox to see if they can help. I also should be able to do some better footage of the Heroes beta soon as I am waiting for a cheapo capture device.

I created a page for your Worms 3D prototype on Hidden Palace.

    http://hiddenpalace.org/Worms_3D_(Oct_10,_2003_prototype)

I also made a page for Sonic Heroes 10.13 just in case.
