Hello everyone, today I was digging through an old flash drive and found a fan game I downloaded years ago from the lost Game Maker Website. Its called Sonic Advanced.Its a great tribute to the Sonic Advance games with 7 playable characters including Blaze the Cat and Shadow, a Sonic Advance 2 interface, and tag team options. I mentioned the project before, and people asked for a link to it, but no matter how much I dug into the web, it had no remains. So, here you all go Enjoy! Sonic Advanced Download Be sure to share the link as well. I'd like to see Razor&Zenon do a full playthrough of it. I think this has my old save, so you may want to delete that. I wasn't sure where to find it. Controls: Space: Jump/ Select Enter:Start Arrow Keys:Move Please Note:In the options section, you can change resolutions and all. It will force full screen at first. I advise changing the options to your liking.
I actually played this fangame in January of this year. It's an alright game, definitely one of the more faithfull attempts of being a continuation of the Advance series, though there is an issue of not being able to pick up rings after being hit, which made me get stuck at the final boss, as well as your character being uncontrollable when under the effects of the Super Sneakers. The Special Stages also kinda suck.
I agree, the special stages and boss battles were a bit off, and I never got to beat the game lol. I wish the original coder could see this feedback, but of course they're probably long gone by now. Wait...if you played it earlier this year, does that mean someone else has it somewhere as well? Maybe Sonic Retro will staple it here in the Fan Games Section?
Fantastic find! I wonder if the creature will come back and finish the project again just like what happened with sonic 2 HD?
I found it on this list (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ArchiveTeam/gamemaker-sandbox-items/master/2014-done/games.txt), which also contains a bunch of other lost Yoyo Sandbox fangames, and then I used Wayback Machine to download it (https://web.archive.org/web/20110625133257/http://www.yoyogames.com:80/games/25200-sonic-advanced-v4). Though now it doesn't want to download the file.} EDIT: Never mind, I can now download it again. :v:
Thank you so much! I had no idea there you could still get ahold of this stuff. There were literally hundreds of them, and some were very good. And here, I thought this stuff was lost XD. Wish I had known this sooner.
