I think this fits here? Have a shittingly edited video trying to show I find Silver Screen (Chaotix) and Time Eater (Generations) quite similar.
I was listening to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39YUXIKrOFk and realised it has very prominent similarities to this song from the OVA: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rH0MpVGmO4
Am I the only one who immediately thought of this: when first hearing this: It's mainly the bass line (and the former's intro) that is similar.
Haha wow! Awkwardly enough, I think I enjoyed that more than I'll ever enjoy Splash Hill... EDIT: While I'm here, is this guitar riff a popular sample? Give this song from Free Riders a listen; LATE EDIT: For the longest time I had the wrong song here...*facepalm*. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIFYXZG5ibw Then check this track from Xenoblade Chronicles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjiAWFOq_-E
Anyone else here think that the Death Egg Mk.II theme from S4E2 sound a lot like The Love Song by The Cure? Am I the only one who sees this similarity? (I'd make an attempt at making the mash-up, but things are a more than a bit busy lately)
You know they do sound similar. O.O Maybe that's why it's my second favorite song off the soundtrack, seeing how that's my favorite Cure song. <3 Anyway someone should definitely do a mash up of the two, I would but I have way too many projects to worry about at the moment.
Holy fuck, I would like to marry this song and make many babies with it. Their style is a little Chicago-esque in a good way too. Wow, I've never heard that Cure song before, but I hear it clear as day. I chalk it up to there being only so many combinations of notes and chords and with almost 7 billion people on Earth, someone is bound to notice the similarities.
The last 4 musical notes of the Rai italian TV channels 1,2 and 3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4Llo5Q-fmU I know they aren't a song, but every time I watch them on tv the first second of this music comes up to my mind: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pXqPp4MZbY
Can't get it to embed for some reason...but yea. Someone was a Mary J. Blige fan :v:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qKd3rhb1Uw&feature=related Palmtree Panic http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=h5BODY7-Xmk#t=1401s Mystic Caves 2P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hyqe3DBUj5E Theres a riff pretty reminiscent of Seaside Hill These guys appear to be a huge influence in Sonic music period, right down to the obsession with Slap Bass. :P edit: another fun tidbit. This band made the theme for Formula One Racing. I'm curious if this is part of the reason why crazy jazz fusion seems to be forever attached to japanese racing games.
Right, so here's something for you. Listen to this song first from one of Sega's awful productions, Shadow the Hedgehog: Then, listen to this from one of Capcom's awful productions, Maverick Hunter X: Coincidence much?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJhhCacbNWw The speed music sounds like Metal Gear Solid 2 music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqqq8uqSDnk I think so anyway.
Well, even though it's not exactly related to this thread, there's a good reason for that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RwqhO5dWQY Their music is actually used in Japan for the opening to the F1 coverage! Has been used for years, still used recently from what I've seen. Good song though! T-SQUARE are also responsible for Knight's Song, otherwise known as many as Moon Over The Castle, Grand Turismo's main theme. Also RE: Jun using a sample library, I'm curious to know what library it was. Would it be possible to get any more details from him?
A part of the orchestral theme of Sonic Colors (3:15-3:45) resembles Green Hill Zone quite a bit. Sonic Colors Theme (Go to 3:15 to see the part.) And, I think that you all probably have Green Hill Zone stuck to your heads now.
T-Square ~ Praise http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXLrDPJdAo4 Starts of as Holaska Night from Sonic Unleashed, turns into Starlight Zone Holoska Night http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=qFFW5hc-c3g#t=66s Starlight Zone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mqmN6mw4R8
I could definitely be the only one that hears this, but the bassline in Aquatic Base... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bzxmDEuYks Sounds quite similar to Panic Puppet Act 2 (Saturn)? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzBxs09FKxg But it could definitely just be the similarity in the tone of the songs....
