I'm liking it so far! Especially the whole 'somersault' thing. Sure, I hated SA2, but seriously, I like this because the somersault is fresh and new, something no hacker has done before (I think).
Plus, that new GHZ style is super awesome. Psychedelic, man. =D

Since this is a freshly-introduced hack, I want to add my two cents on the music.
Concerning Green Hill Zone's music, I've heard many Sonic 1 hacks use a Green Hill remix and "Door Into Summer." Why not use something no one has yet used before in a Sonic 1 hack? By that, I mean "Shooting Ristar." That song has an upbeat tropical feel to it, which matches Green Hill and its palm tree motif, and I'm fairly surprised that no one has yet used this song in their hacks. In my opinion, it'd be sweet to hear this song for the first time in a Sonic hack.

I notice in that screenshot that Sonic's left leg is disconnected from the knee down. Something you definately want to fix. Also, I like the art quite a bit. Two characters I would put in would be Blaze (Similar running speed to Sonic, and fireball attack (B button)) and Silver (hovers in the air (A button in midair) for a short ammount of time and cannot rise beyond the point at which he started hovering, and can grab (B button) and throw (B button again) projectiles and other objects (such as the small spike balls that Robotnik drops in SLZ) at a random enemy onscreen)

If there's any character that needs some love then it's Bean; he's never been featured in ANY hack to my knowledge.
Allough it has came up in many hack threads, no one has ever used him. It makes me sad.
