I hate all of the Monkey Ball levels, forcing you to make sudden turns the way they do...
BIG HAS TERRIBLE HANDLING! IT'S A NIGHTMARE!

This might sound sarcastic but it's true, it makes sense for the Monkey Ball stages to be a nightmare, the whole point of the Monkey Ball games is dealing with nightmarish but strangely addicting platform/puzzle levels where maneuvering well is key.
Call it what you will but it's actually very true to the source material to make the Monkey Ball levels focus on good maneuvering.

Am I the only person who hates Monkey Target? I've lost races due to my inability to do a 180 around the infinite corners at the end. It seems like none of the characters can corner that fast.
The trick is to let go of the acceleration button while drifting around the corners.
The other Super Monkey Ball levels aren't that hard, the only hard issue is memorizing the patterns which I so eventually forget every once in a while myself.

That's very true, no question about it, but that's also the point; it's normal for it to be that annoying in Super Monkey Ball, but in a racing game... Yeah, I really like all of the other tracks in the game, but I hate that one with a passion.

I love this game! <3
Opa-Opa is my main. I have to admit that his animations can really but you off when drifting, but he's a great racer once you're used to him.
Shibuyah Downtown is probably my best track. I always have at least a 30 second lead opver everyone, I've even managed to lap some racers.
Something looks odd about Big though. Did he always have those tufts on the back of his head? His voice.. are those clips from Sonic X? Or are they new recordings?

Same here, I really wanna unlock Highway Zero....and now I wanna play Jet Set Radio Future again.
This game is actually really good.

While on the topic of characters I'm just going to throw it out there. Who is your favorite character? Personally mine is Knuckles. He's pretty quick and handles really well. Only down side to him is that he doesn't handle too well on rough terrain, which you think he would judging from his character. Oh well.
You think he'd handle well on rough terrain since that's part of the point of an All Terrain Vehicle like the one he appears to be driving.
As for favorites, I tend to switch between Banjo and Knuckles. I like both drivers: Banjo can be pretty useful if you plan out your turns in advance, and Knuckles is a good choice when I think Banjo may not be able to handle the cornering.

The Wii version got hacked: http://www.sonicstadium.org/news/eu-pal-wi...n-of-asr-hacked
This isn't going to be fun for those who want to play a fair game online.

If this hacker hacks the US Wii version, I'm gonna be pissed. I'm planning on getting that game for my birthday, and I'm gonna be so mad if I can't play online.

I've only used Sonic, Shadow, Tails, and Knuckles (not counting any characters you're forced to use in Missions), and while I tend to use Sonic for Single Race and Time Trials, I seem to be better in Grand Prix mode using Shadow. Dunno why, though.
The trick is to let go of the acceleration button while drifting around the corners.
The better trick is to keep tapping the acceleration button while drifting around the corners.
They actually tell you about tapping the acceleration button while drifting in their Sonic Says tips thing. I've tried it, and I've had less wall collisions while drifting since then. It helps in Roulette Road with the last tight turn.

Studio Amigo?
It's actually called Sunshine Tour in the 360, PS3, Wii, and PC version.
Aww, how come it isn't on the DS? I feel like that track HAS to be called Sunshine Tour. You can't NOT call it that with how trippy that shit is. It's pretty insane to be racing through a Spanish-inspired town with DANCING BUILDINGS, only to enter a huge colorful void with a fucking gigantic dancing Amigo. Even more creepy if you're already racing as Amigo.

Let go of the acceleration when you turn. You'll make a perfect U turn, and yes, that works way better than tapping the acceleration button. Only in that case, though. For every other tight turn stick to tapping the acceleration.
