New dump of an unreleased SEGA Saturn game inbound: Star Wars Rebel Assault. Looks like they were going to enhance it similar to how Factor 5 reworked Rebel Assault II for PS1 to be more than just an FMV game. I was just thinking the other day how there are no Star Wars games on Saturn. Turns out there would have been at one point!

Again, this will be publically available sometime soon as of this writing.

Are you sure that has anything to do with Rebel Assault? It's called Star Wars Rebel Strike. Seems like a completely different game.

This means we get a title screen screenshot, yes?

So apparently iTunes is dying? I'm not sure what it will potentially turn into, but this seems like a concern for Sega Retro.

Why? What's Sega related iTunes exclusive? It's not like the apps are going anywhere.

Well we're getting PSO2 in the west.
I'm a bit thrilled about this, to say the least.

The Sega Age website was sold. Don't know if that means anything to anybody but save anything worthwhile I guess.

So I recently acquired a Dynamite Cop (Model2A) arcade machine (was originally a Virtua Fighter Model1 cab though) and was looking at "cheats" online for any version of the game and came across something interesting for the Dreamcast version here:

Quote

Extras
Note: This trick requires the Dreamcast Web Browser. Load the web browser and enter the Dreamcast Network site. Enter the Games/Downloads/Game Extras area. Download the "Dynamite Cop Detonator Pack" on a VMU that contains a saved file from the game. Then, start the game CD and enter the option menu. Select the "Detonator Pack" and choose to combine the Detonator Pack with your existing saved game file. The following extras will now be unlocked. A bonus stun gun weapon will appear randomly during the game. Extra graphics will appear in Caribbean Pirates mode. Highlight Ivy at the character selection screen, then hold Start to unlock Cindy from Die Hard Arcade.

Do we have an archive of this file? Does Retro even have a hosting method for VMS files? I remember there was a site a long time ago dedicated to the uploading and downloading of VMS files, in which I used it to modify my Shenmue 1 save to a Shenmue 2 EU compatible format.

Yes put them on the Sega Retro wiki. This should probably apply to Sega's old freebie demos and whatnot too - anything Sega was offering online in the 1990s or early 2000s.

We are open to most things.

Well, it was more of a request for the file to be hosted on Retro. I have no such files. Nor would I know how to upload them to Retro. The files I upload get eaten or I don't know how they work.

So...E3 2019:

Phantasy Star Online 2 for Xbox One
Football Manager on Xbox Game Pass PC
Shenmue 3 showed up at the PC Gaming Show
Panzer Dragoon Remake on Switch
Mario & Sonic at the 2020 Olympics

I think that was all that was showcased at the conferences.

I guess we have all that was there... the manuals were all uploaded some years ago ... it was just the posters and some extras that were missing (leaflets, etc)... but I will check one more time ... just to be certain...

I found it difficult to understand the Sega Model1's soundboard's purpose actually was. I then found this blog blurb and found it very helpful and I think this info should eventually be transferred to the wiki at some point.
