Is there any way to control Pico games in a Mega Drive emulator? All I can appreciate these for at the moment are the title screens.

There isn't, sadly, no. Basically a Pico is a Megadrive with a tablet controller, so if the tablet isn't emulated....

There's still searching for graphics in the game. I have the final and a pico, so yeah, I'll look at this when I get home ( out of town till this evening )

Well, I found these yesterday, but due to a computer crash from trying to run gens in vista in a non-16-bit color mode they didn't save. Well here they are now:

These images were from the rom labed with 01.27, and I'm not sure which number that corresponds to on DRX's list here.

Also, all of these images were compressed in Nemesis's format.

Ignore that bottom line of pixels, that's just me failing at cropping.

Well, other than these, and an uncompressed Sega logo, I can't really find any graphics in the game...

SatAM Sonic designs in a game that uses Japanese-style artwork all over it? How strange.

By the way, does the final also look and sound like a Master System game? I found that kind of odd, since it's not using the MegaDrive's SMS mode. But then again, I don't know what features did the Pico lack compared to it.

Yes, all Pico games are like glorified SMS quality. As for those large images posted, they're probably the line art that you color in on one o fthe pages. They're probably also localized, which explains the satam[/S] COLD, SOULLESS, GENERIC SEGA OF AMERICA SPAWNED look, as I'm pretty sure my Japanese version has different images. But I also haven't played it in forever. I'll dig it out soon...

    edit: not Satam ok??

Excuse me, but did you just say these were SatAM designs? Jeeeze. If anything, it would be AoStH looking designs, but this is not the case either. These are officially licensed Sega production artworks, used in many, many media formats. They were on merchandise, Valentines cards, strategy guides, you name it. Unless you're looking at something from Sega World, I highly doubt anything you will see has SatAM or Archie production art on it.

Now that's more like it! All in all, I do wish more SegaSonic merchandise made it to the US and Europe.

Lol I had a pico... was damn fun at the time actually.
I remeber the sonic game for it , it had this great arkinoid clone. In fact, that game introduced me to arkinoid

Would it be too hard for someone to take a megadrive emulator and add pico tablet support?

Probably not if you had some documentation of the hardware inside it. But from scratch? Yeah, it probably would be extremely hard.

If anybody DOES find any documentation please do give me a shout. I'd be happy to add support for it.

Hm.. Seems like this was coded in C.. or whoever coded it felt like using a damn obscure and insane coding style. This makes it harder to track down sega pico related stuff, but I'm looking on it.
