I ran into an interesting quirk the other day. I was adding CD sound to my 32X projects and found that Mode 1 doesn't work with the 32X in any emulator. It works fine on real hardware. When RV=0, the SCD is present at 0x400000 to 0x7FFFFFF just like in Genesis mode (no 32X), and you can use the SCD exactly the same as with the Genesis. Here's a version of my Wolf32X that inits the CD for mode 1, and plays tracks off the CD.
