    Hi guys.
    Ok, this is quite difficult for me to talk in english, but I'll try to explain my project.

    A friend and me are working on a sonic game for Gba.
    Call it a fangame if you want.
    My friend is making the biggest part of the game : programming, testing and some graphisms.
    Me, I'm working on mapping, testing, and graphisms too.
    The project started in 2004, but we have not worked a lot on it.

    For the moment, the engine is not finished, but quite advanced.
    We are working with Sonic advance sprites (Yeah, I know...) but Old style sprites are too big on gba screen.

    What's working :
    -bumpers
    -ennemies
    -spikes
    -water
    -rings
    -TVs

    here are some screenshots :

    (old screens)

    (recent screen)

    Here is the download :

    You have to push A button at start to place Sonic.
    The menu pause is in french, so I will translate it for you:

    -"Options g?n?rales" = general options (but there isn't anything here yet)

    -"Options d'affichage" = screen options
    ---->"luminosit?" = bright
    ---->"camera rapide" = fast camera
    ---->"arriere plan" = background
    ---->"anti rame" = Do not touch :(
    ---->"debogage" = remove screen indications

    -"Options sonores" = sound options

    -"Debogage beta" = debug mode options
    ---->"Deplacer Sonic" = Move sonic on the screen
    ---->"sauvegarder" = not working yet
    ---->"obtenir bagues" = obtain 30 rings
    ---->"simulation spindash" = simulate a spindash
    ---->"Niveau suivant" = next level

    -"Abandonner" = restart the act

    -"Quitter" = restart the game

    You can play the rom on an emulator, but you should use a flash card, this is much better. ;)
    Do not forget that this is an early alpha version of the game.

    Any comments? ^^

    Wow. That is sweet! But yeah I can't help but cringe a little at the advance sprites but hey it's a lower resolution so I gues you're forced into it. Nice work though!

    Hey, if this is just an early alpha version, think of the possibility of this game when it is at it's final stage. This could be one of the super uber games that comes every now and then and may even define the standard of fangames. Very Good job/Tres bien! :D

    Thank you all. :(
    For the sprites, we are curently trying to obtain old school sprites at the gba format :

    [IMG]

    We found this on a forum, so we contacted the guy who made it...
    I'd prefer use these ones, but we are waiting for the response, for the moment.

    Couldn't you just scale down the sprites yourself?

    It looks pretty good! (Excluding the advance sprites.) Otherwise, keep up the good work!

    The music comes from Collision Chaos: Good Future (Sonic CD) :(
    I love that song, so... I decided to put it for that level.

    Thanks, that's nice, but... "La maison sonique de gar?on de jeu brassenti" doesn't mean anything :P

    But if you want to play that game, I had taken a photo of my DS, a few month ago, and...

    That's what happens when you rely on Babelfish for translations :(

    Fixed. It now says ">this is filler to put on the second screen<" :D

    Actually... we havent got a response yet, from the guy who would make theses sprites, so...

    And... in fact, your resize is quite good! Maybe we should use this solution.

    It would be great ;)
    But I'd prefer to ask my friend to know if he wants to use this solution, before.
    I wouldn't want you to waste your time.

    ok, well just tell me if you do need them and really this is great, I have thought what it would be like to play it on the gba, so what are you doing with it are you like having a collection of levels? and will there be bosses, I know its far off but I just wanted to know :P
