Episode II does seem better than Episode I, although the Desert level is the only one that interests me thus far.

Classic Sonic physics aren't real by any means. :/

White Park was cool. I don't know, I just found something charming about a snow covered carnival.

ok, now it's starting to get tempting. I think I'll wait for a steam sale.

Can you play as normal Sonic in Episode Metal? If so I'm even more excited for this.

I assume not since Episode Metal is just sonic 4 zones but with Metal Sonic. It would be incredibly redundant if you could play as Sonic, even if the acts are slightly altered. Also, I assume metal wil control just like Episode II Sonic so there would be even less of a point.

If he DOES have EP2 physics, it would apply to Sonic in EP1 too, right?

Too bad the Metal Epsiode is only S4 Ep1, why can't he go through Ep1 and EP2 as if it were S3&k?

Yeah, when it is put in that sort of terms, it seems pretty meh. I don't see what the point really is.
It's a shiny thing to distract from the hollow core that is the sort of meh quality stuff going on in the main game.

Episode 1 with updated physics is meh?
This fan base, I tell ya...

I wasn't a part of the waaambulance of physics people. Ep 1's music and stage design was too short and disappointing. I actually rated it higher than the normal person here would have.
Still, they burned me pretty badly for trusting that they could do it well. I'm not going to be fooled yet again.

They could easily solve this problem by using a certain Tails based doppelganger
Honestly though I think that Episode Metal is a great addition for fans.
Especially how they have reworked the levels similar to Knuckles' levels in Sonic 3...
..the fact that they've gone to all to all the effort to do that and then made it free...I think that is awesome.

There is one major good thing I've just realised.
We've seen a lot of Oil Desert- in screenshots and trailer form- but we haven't seen a single Bubbles chain.
If you'll recall, there were enough chains in Sylvania Castle to appear in the first screenshots and videos. I think this means that as the game progresses, the bubble chains decrease in number.
