So the other game announced today was Mario & Sonic 2014, the game that no-one saw coming at all. Honest. =P

What do we think about another title in the series, the first in HD?

Well, hopefully the 3DS version will actually be fully fledged minigames like the DS 2008 and 2010, unlike 3DS 2012 (not that I played 3DS 2012) and that any character can be chose for any event. Seriously, having only a pool of four characters for one event is stupid.

As I mentioned in the Wii U topic, the footage was clearly running at sub 30FPS. I thought it might be the stream, but the footage of Iwata speaking appearing perfectly smooth confirmed otherwise.

From what I remember, people were saying that Link to the Past 2 appeared a bit sluggish in the Nintendo Direct it was revealed in.

And then we got some later gameplay footage that showed it running pretty fast.

So it might be another one of those cases.

With Link to the Past 2 it just seemed like Link moved slowly rather than a bad framerate. Looking at the framerate in the Nintendo Direct video again, it's not very good. It could just be the video though, and even if it isn't the game is still in development.
