Secrets of Sonic Team is Down

Looks like the entire Emulation Zone website and all pages hosted on it have shut down too. That site was like an interesting piece of emulation history: Andy Wolan first created it in 1996, making it one of the earliest emulation websites around. It is a miracle the site stayed online for as long as it did, as Andy had retired in 2006, the site had been infected with malware numerous times over the years, and many of the sites hosted on the 'Zone had moved to better hosts.

Don't be surprised when old sites suddenly shut down like this. It costs money to keep them up, and malware infections will quickly run rampant on unmaintained sites.

I had trouble loading it earlier and it loaded just fine now. I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume there was a DNS change that's still propagating. It'll be fine by tomorrow.
