https://twitter.com/NintendoEurope/status/608302759851528194 HOLY SHIT WHAT SONIC BOOM'S NOT DEAD YET???
I actually witnessed this as it popped up on my Twitter feed It unfolded before my very eyes and there was nothing I could do
The reactions to this tweet are hilarious. To echo everyone on Twitter I think "Why God why" is the appropriate response here.
RubyEclipse returns to Sega to promote another nightmare. (The TV show might have good reception but the games... good luck)
Less labyrinthine, faster and with more traditional elements while still being very much a Boom game. I'm betting on "Shattered Crystal, but a little better and still not good". Source http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_r7S34jxhog
I can't even make sense out of that cover image. What the hell is even going on at the top? Is that a spider dude?
At this point it's pretty obvious that SEGA would rather crash and burn instead of saving them by dropping the awfulness that is Sonic Boom. The games sold terribly, why would they keep on going? A lot of sensible people would have put it down after the hugely negative reception those games had got.
Looks like a big improvement, this could actually be a good game! Still, either way I couldn't care less, as the last two were so poor. If it's actually a good game though, I might give this a crack. *Sits back and waits until reviews are posted*
Will be weird to think that maybe there was also a WiiU version but was canceled because Rise of Lyric reception?
I really thought Rise of Lyric had killed any chance of future games in the Boom franchise, guess not. Seems like this is Mach 2 and the 2 makes sense now.
Because nobody's mentioned this in the PR yet... There's your Sonic Boom (and presumably non-Boom Sonic too) mobile app. Also graphics aren't too bad this time. Metal Sonic thing from a bot race? Shout out for the classic yellow springs, and modern springs. RoL and SC both used blue, glowing "bounce pads" instead.
