It appears not unfortunately. The VDP registers are all protected, and the PAR codes do nothing when I attempt to use them to make a modification.
wow and here I thought night mode's only use was to make the pretty little flowers in Emerald hill zone glow and look prettier n_n
Maybe *looks around* it's realy not called NIGHT mode.........someone just desided to call it that becouse it looked like it.......but hey, this is just my oppinion. Heh :P
I knew about the "Night" effect debug mode for ages, although never got it to work in Sonic 2 final though.
I've managed to pull it off in both the Beta and Final. It took me a little while longer to get it working in Sonic 2 Beta. I've also heard that Sonic 1 has a Night Mode, which I know was 100% untrue, just a flat-out lie.
Ah, yes, I see now. For some reason, I seem to have missed the part up top. So since it's possible to put that in a Donald Duck game, than it's definately possible to get it into Sonic 1. Interesting...
