I'm not sure if this post will apply to the home console editions, but on Android/iOS are there any cheats - ie the level select cheat? I miss playing the 'Past' and 'Good Future' versions of the levels. Any ideas?
This thread actually brings up a good question: are the original cheats enabled in the console version?
The Pictures still exist in the remake, (I was able to access them all) and Special Stage 8 works correctly. The only thing I couldn't get working was Debug Mode, but Taxman confirmed that Debug Mode works in the remake.
thanks shadow hog - I don't get any special stages in the time attack menu, just the regular zones? Am I going nuts and looking in the wrong place ?
No, the button codes do not work. Also, Debug Mode doesn't work on the Android port; rather, the coordinates feature does, but the item placement functionality does not. Might if I had a keyboard, which my phone doesn't. Marrr, I think you have to beat 25 minutes in the standard Time Attack before they show up.
On the iOS version, everything works, except for the obvious things; *Debug mode can be enabled but due to only having the (A) button you cannot change Sonic's sprite or plant down objects, only see the co-ordinates in the top right corner. *The level select cheat won't work, it is instead an unlockable for getting fast times in the special stages. Also, add me on GameCentre.
If you miss playing the Good Future versions of the levels, with don't you... I don't know... Just play the game? You know, travel to the past, destroy generators, hologram... That's the point of the game, isn't it?
And after you beat the game? Anyway, get under 30 minutes on Time Attack to unlock Special Stage Time Attack and get under 4 minutes on that and you have the level select under the Extras menu.
Actually, I think Level Select is 5 minutes; 4 minutes is Sound Test (and all the bonuses therein contained).
I don't understand Sonic CD... Not only can I not find the Sound Test, but I also can't find the special stage Time Attacks... (Getting under 30 minutes would help :P) It would be interesting, using a level select, though, as I only see the good future in Palmtree Panic.

It was discussed for several pages in the CD topic. Taxman had two levels he wanted to add (That there being Desert Dazzle in the picture) and a stage called Final Fever but they were ultimately scrapped.
OK, so I figured I'd post here rather than start a new thread, gimme a digital slap if I fucked up. For a player of the game since it was originally released in 1993 I honestly don't know where, or indeed if there even are any metal sonic holograms in Metallic Madness. I've never searched for them before but I'm going for the achievement of getting all teleporters and holograms. I know where the teleporters are in MM, but no idea about holograms. Help me out with my 'tard's question.
I couldn't help but wonder if that was a strong hint to a level in S4:ep2. If I recall, the Sonic games have never had a strong Southwestern desert theme.
