Maybe soon down the road in the meantime i cant say what game will be coming back online soon but i can give a hint http://youtu.be/rZ9kjEb_LWA
Today is a momentous occasion and one I've been waiting for for a long time now! Wait for it.... Ooga Booga has been brought back online thanks to the one and only Shuouma! Speaking as someone who is probably the world's #1 Ooga Booga fan (I even have what is likely the only signed copy of the game by the original development team), this makes me extremely happy. Even though the game is fully playable offline, it's still amazing to be able to play it with Dreamcast fans across the globe. The frantic, boar-riding, shrunken-head-throwing, spell-casting, ridiculousness that is Ooga Booga is a treat to play online and can be absolute mayhem with 4 players. If your Dreamcast is online (as it should be), this is an absolute must-play game. Although if you happen to be one of those unhip kids that still only plays Dreamcast offline, fear not, you can still watch the gameplay footage to see what you're missing. Once again I need to give huge props to Shuouma for yet another amazing online game revival. This brings the total number of online games up to 15. This milestone means that there are now more games online than offline, excluding any Japanese exclusives. It seems as though we're well on our way to having every online multiplayer game revived. That would be a joyous day indeed! http://youtu.be/k84EFPXKRqg
Wow, it's really amazing that these keep getting revived. That would be beyond cool. I also hope that Bomberman Online is resurrected one day, as (for some reason) I could never try its online mode back in the day and I've heard that it was awesome.
The Plan of attack for most of this year is that bu monthly every online 2K game will be brought back online. From what i understand the plan after that is the last major games like Daytona, Outtrigger, Bomberman and Propeller Arena
So hey, would anyone here be interested in getting a game of PSO and Chu Chu Rocket going? I'm working on a Dreamcast retrospective episode, and I'll need footage of PSO in particular. It'd be great if I could reminisce on how much it blew my mind back in 2001 while actually having footage of it, haha.
I down for some PSO! I cant do chu chu right now due to the fact i wont be able to do Port forwarding for a few weeks but i also have about 30 minutes of Chu Chu Online gameplay if you want me to send you it
Oh and by the way if your free tomorrow afternoon a bunch of us will be heading online around 3pm east, a couple dozen of us always meet on saturdays but there are people online all the time during the week. Hope to see you online! PM me if you want to meet up
Hey so to be honest I'd LOVE to play some PSO with you and get in a video, but I know that as I haven't even ordered a dreampi setup now, even if I ordered one today I'm sure any footage of me playing would be too late to make it into the video. I'm sure that the video will be amazing though, and I look forward to watching it!
Would be glad to have you! If you get a Dreampi via Dreamcast-Live its only a few days of shipping, one of our newest members in the UK got his in just 2 or 3 days! Also on a side note it be great in the retrospective if you could maybe mention the Dreamcast did not fail/fail as badly as people say it did. Wont elaborate but the info is over here http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=37694
Just as a little update, a new script has been made to make it easier to use Gmail on the Dreamcast. While using Gmail has been possible before with the CMail method, that was more complicated than most where wiling to do. This is hassle free and should be released soon. This means Sega Swirl is more accessible tom people now :D video of it in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Wok2Z84T-E&t=0s
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uR0D4awMaeE A mere month after the revival of Ooga Booga, another online multiplayer game has been brought back to life thanks to Shuouma! This time it's World Series Baseball 2K2. If you're a fan of "America's Favorite Pastime", this is definitely one you're going to want to try out. The game plays great online, although there is a delay when it comes to batting but you'll adjust to it fairly quickly. Overall it's a really fun experience and should really please sports fans. Shu and I played an epic first game on the new server. I didn't include the entire game in the announcement video but if you wish to watch the entire hour-long game, check out the video below. Without spoiling anything, there were some really exciting moments and a great last minute comeback. It's definitely worth a watch if you're a baseball fan.
don't forget everyone you can vote for which game to be brought back next! http://www.dreamcastlive.net/blogs/post/Poll-Which-2K-Sports-Game-Do-You-Want-Revived-Next/
