    So I ripped some Oil Ocean Zone sprites. I might attempt to draw these in Inkscape later since these should be pretty easy.

    It could be worth to do some extra animations for a smoother look. I've always felt that this device was a bit lacking animation wise. Though it's up to the staff if they want it.

    Yeah, not a fan of that title card.

    Although, I do like the little icon in the corner. That's a great idea - have a little icon representing each stage.

    Yeah, but the way the red section shadows over the red, and has a beveled 3d look does seem appealing.

    Bevels are shit and you should feel horrible for even suggesting the addition of them.

    Ya know, except for their ability to uncannily represent depth. And seriously, the first comment I have ever seen you say in this entire forum (okay, so I haven't looked through the ENTIRE archive) happens to reeks that much of asshole? At least it gives it some more variety than a crappy 3 color rectangle with some text on it.

    Bevels are terrible and everything they touch look like a 1990s geocities page. Besides they clash with the existing artwork which consists of bright colours and heavy contrast.

    The existing title card is pretty boring. I'd give a shot at creating a new one but I think the idea is to keep the presentation as close as possible to the original game.

    I really want to see this. Has it changed since the forum overhaul? And yeah, I might want to play around with it too. I mean, just for fun.

    I still lurk here regularly.

    I'm contributing to Hedgewars at the moment though my main ties are to the Something Awful and Duke3D communities. I'm like a roving samurai except without the homosexual child rape.

    Has what changed? Our feelings on presentation, or just the title card? Our feelings on the presentation are to keep what works and expound on it, if that's what you're asking. As for the title card, I don't think it's done yet.

    Ah, sounds like you're keeping busy, at least.

    If someone wants to take a crack at the titlecards, you won't find any of the staff telling you not to. Be forewarned, we are bound and determined to make the them look great, so it'll probably take a lot of concepting to come up with something with potential. By and large, you guys seem to get extremely frustrated when a few people criticize the first image one person puts up and then does nothing else with it on account of that. I'll remind you yet again that design is an iterative process. Of course you're not going to nail it on the first try. Even the people with a record of posting up truly impressive concepts still have room for improvement.

    TL;DR - Start putting up titlecard concepts and we'll start evaluating them.

    Good to see you back around here SwissCM, been awhile.
