I have heard a rumour that both the RingEdge and RingWide use the same motherboard, and there is a simple way to convert one to the other by changing some kind of "flag." I'm not sure if this means it's done either through a switch (or dipswitch), or adjusting a pin jumper, or maybe even soldering a joint or something. I can't find any info on this anywhere though. I'm interested in buying a RingWide game to play on my model 1 RingEdge, but I want to make sure I know how to make if work before I make the purchase.
