Motobug needs to die instantly when exposed to floor spikes.

also oh god the motobug at the start of act 1 is beating me up this hill

Of course, the paths are very specific...but they work.

Agreed, since it's a Motobug, you should disable the slope resisting and repelling routines (in the June 2005 disassembly Sonic_SlopeResist and a couple of routines from there).

Agreed. This hack is amazing. I wouldn't be in favor of a spin dash-esque move though, unless it only propelled motobug a small bit faster than usual.

Also, Star Light 2 and 3 are beatable :D

This is quite an interesting hack, but some zones are just unbeatable to me. Maybe we should make a hack called "The Badniks in Sonic 1" where you can choose to play as any badnik in the game, and all Badniks are replaced with Sonic :P
This is just an amazing idea for a hack, and I wish I had come up with it. Maybe you should edit some of the levels so they're playable as the Motobug.

Oh god, the ending is too slow. lol I couldn't get past the burning platforms in MZ Act 1. I like how he's just swinging it while he's waiting. Nice hack so far. Try to replace the buzzer will Tails.

The spin-dash move should only be enough to get around a loop or a short hill at a complete stop. That would make most levels completable.

In other news, I want to do a video series on me completing this hack, ala my Mecha Sonic in Sonic 1 series. Do I have permission to do so?

I like the idea. I think it would be nice to expand so all zones are playable, preferably at a faster speed.

I can confirm that SYZ3 is beatable. This hack NEEDS to be finished. It's one of the most epic things I've ever seen.

I dunno if it's possible to pull it off, but instead of a spindash, it might be cool to have a short boost you need to charge up or something. Think Sparkster's jetpack in Rocket Knight, perhaps. Or the kind that autocharges but needs to be waited for in order to use, even.
