So I spent $10.98 on the Sonic toy for the avatar item, apparently it's just the moto-bug "toy" not a "pet". Why does Sega lie to me?! (The avatar item itself is around $2 (or $5.99 since you need to buy 400 points.), I spent $10.98 on it, I could have bought another cheap XBLA game with it...but whatever.)

Also, I pre-ordered Generations while I was there so...that's something, right?

Is it the same Motobug toy from the S4 set of items then?

Yes. Except you get a Toy that people will probably never use! I guess I could just sell the toy on Ebay in 5-10 years...

EDIT: I wouldn't feel so bad if they actually put "Sonic 4 Toy Moto Bug" and not "Pet Moto Bug".

Avatar items that you have to pay for are so pointless, did you really just buy the figure for the avatar pet?

Laughing my ass off here.

Apparantly Sega screwed over the Generations demo in Orlando too, due to some "error code" on BOTH Versions, ps3 and 360, meaning both Miami and Orlando sonic fans are left out. The demo was replaced by Unleashed of all things

Does this demo even EXIST? they should delay the game if its bugged this bad

Hah! Good thing I didn't waste my time. Would've been 16 miles of gas wasted on the round trip.

Hey SEGA, quit dicking around and release the PC demo already.

I hope they actually do release a PC version. I just bought a new PC after all... Still gets loads of blue screens (my fault for not checking the RAM and motherboard compatibility, also newegg's fault for selling them together in a bundle, but I digress) but I think I'd rather play on the PC if possible. I bet it would look really pretty.

I wouldn't mind having the 360 version either, of course, since I'll be playing it with a 360 controller either way.

I mostly hope that the possible PC version is not a half-assed port like Sonic Adventure 2010 was (compared to SADX), nor it suffers the same issues Heroes PC did.

The appearance of the Sonic Generations demo on the Steam Registery is merely a byproduct of Steam being on the Playstation 3.

Obviously.

huh? what Sammy Financial Reports? I'm not listening! Seriously though. I don't think we should be considering a PC Port just yet.

Generations PC being on the Steam registry, it being up for preorders on at least 2 videogame stores, and being outright confirmed by Sega Spain isn't evidence enough?

Granted, they could still pull a dick move and say it was all a mistake to begin with and they never even planned the PC version.

But, given the evidence, that would be a hell of a dick move.

This almost sounds like you want it to be delayed regardless of whether it's bugged, has issues, or whatever. You want it delayed on the very vague basis that delays = fixing things. Was Colours delayed? No. Was Sonic 4? Yes. Did it help Sonic 4's case? Did it fuck.

Sega won't delay this game to miss out on the christmas season, yet alone a 20th Anniversary game. It's November.

I don't know if this has been brought up before (If it has, I apologise), but after watching the footage of Chemical Plant and City Escape and also playing the demo Green Hill Zone, I have to ask; where are the infamous loop-de-loops?
I know they didn't work too well in previous 3D attempts but I hope they haven't just given up on them entirely.
If I have missed them though, I apologise (again).

There's a couple of loops in GHZ. Maybe you missed them?

And there are screen shots of them in Chemical Plant.

Actually I believe there were a couple in City Escape as well

Fear not, loops are present where they belong (like I doubt we'll see any in Sky Sanctuary since they didn't exist in that level)

Seems I really wasn't paying attention. There are 2 obvious loops right before the end of Classic Sonic's Green Hill Zone and 1 in the City Escape video. I must admit, I was worried for a second but it seems that was all for nothing.
It didn't help that I had just watched the Chemical Plant video and not seen a single loop in the footage and just jumped the gun a bit.
