Retro's Front Page gave me an idea for a thread topic on here... This was my old bedroom in 2004; could that giant Sonic head be the biggest Sonic poster (it's actually made of cardboard rather than just paper)?: http://growler.devia...=scraps#/d4cw2d As you can see, at the time I didn't like Cool Spot much - as I thought Sonic was the coolest thing ever - so I hid him, lol. and the other side of the wall: http://growler.devia...=scraps#/d846md *edit* sorry, DeviantART doesn't seem to allow images to be put up on here, so you'll just have to click the links instead. So also, what's your favourite Sonic poster/pin-up?
Damn, I wish I kept my Sonic The Comic copies. Those posters were awesome, especially the Super Sonic ones.
Nice Collection :D I have some of those :p I've still got the Sonic and Knuckles poster from Adventure, two Sonic year books and a ripped Castle Robotnik. Makes me wish I kept those old posters. If only they'd reprint all that stuff... That reminds me, what happened to that Sonic version of Where's Wally I had....
I have a "Classic Sonic Wall Scroll" hanging up currently that I got off of Amazon (it's a new classic sonic item they make). It's not necesaraily a poster because it's made of cloth but it's really fantastic quality and very big (31x43). Spoiler
I think my favorite Sonic Posters are the ones I stole from Gamestop. I snagged all of the promo posters. Also, nesboy, gimme a link to that, I'd love to buy one.
Glad you like it, sure thing looks like Amazon has only 2 left in stock though so you might need to be quick. http://www.amazon.com/Sonic-Hedgehog-Classic-Wall-Scroll/dp/B002JSV40Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1324325346&sr=8-1 By the way, does anyone know if there were any official Sonic 3 posters, I have searched for them for a long time and haven't had much luck.
Question: Could you possibly scan that one with Sonic on the Tornado? The artwork on it looks kickass.
How official are we talking? I remember this one time I was in this shop and found a poster of Sonic standing on an S3K special stage planet tilted 45º. I think Sonic was some common American stock art or an approximation thereof, but the background was totally original. I wanted it so bad. Still hoping an image turns up somewhere someday. This was around the time the S&K logo shoes were being sold at Payless and shit. We couldn't afford those, either!
wat I'd never heard of any such thing. At first I had vague ideas of something incredibly cool involving the silhouetted logos. But… Google Images doesn't throw up anything particularly exciting, mostly modern-model or fan-made ones. The only ones that were classic-style and official were these: Those the ones? Meh. They're not as cool as I expected (whatever the hell that was).
My very awesome girlfriend just got me this wall scroll for christmas. :3 I love it soo much. <3 And it was the last one the store had. :D
I tried to find a picture myself and couldn't. Surprised, I thought they were one of the more common 90s merchandise things. They were black with the silhouetted logo.
I also recall seeing an ad for these back in the day. It honestly may have been on an insert with S&K.
Got a huge Sonic R poster from Burger King back in '98. It's on really nice thick card and was used to promote both the PC version of the game and the Buger King set of toys that were there at the time. It's in the loft at the moment but ought to take a photo of it next time I climb up there.
I myself have that Sonic adventure poster, same exactly what's on Growlers pic 2, left to the mirror. I got it for my bday years ago. It's quite huge.
Only poster I have apart from old Sonic The Comic ones... is a SA2 Battle poster from a strategy guide. I should invest in some.
