The one I'm looking for is the one with the parralax and the sign. I like the standing pose and more or less the concept of it and was trying to recreate the pose. Not sure why, I just never liked the original Sonic pose. Sonic is fast and is supposed to be loose. He looks so... formal with the original pose. This is what I have so far Has anyone here found anything else except these two screen shots? And if so, where could I find them? And also, has anyone found any of those prototype sprites/objects in the main game? Please move if in the wrong section.
This is lost, Sega doesn't have it anymore... It's one of the hardest to find. Also, people opened threads like this on other ocasions, use the search engine to inform yourself more.
Gosh, imagine the shitstorm that will ensue if/when it does get recovered and leaked. It'll be the Sonic 2 prototype days all over again.
I made this ages ago. I guess if you line up Sonic's head with the screen shot, you can literally trace it the rest of the way.
I think I'm getting too much free time D: To Do: - Change HUD - Change Physics - Trace background and bushes/rocks/objects (sign! :D) - Title Card Done: - Replaced Sprites - Removed Actions - Somewhat have some level design done. - Title Screen - Changed 'Hit-box' Credit to Sonica for his Sonic 1 Beta sprite (merged both sprites, will remove if wanted) and who ever made the Sonic Rex Engine. Title Screen Start of stage? As you can see, I'm doing something. Not sure what to do with it though. Hopefully I will be able to re-create something of a beta later on. Anywho, one post left! Edit: By the way, if anyone's wondering, the clouds seem the same from the Green Hill BG. I THINK this is true. Maybe the colors/colours off, but I'm pretty sure they're the same.

That's some cool stuff. I'd keep working on it as a "tech demo" for yourself, to learn more about it and as a personal project. Also, the colours are off on those scans because it was 1990, you know how it goes :P I believe someone recreated those mountain sprites a long time ago but I cant exactly remember where I saw it, the same happens for the sign... If you cant find those, welp you can always draw some pixel art :v: or get someone to do it :v: Keep the nice job about it!
A long time ago, I think back in the Sonc Cult days, a few people made these for me. I honestly cannot believe I still have them: (the file dates from at least 2004)
I think I know where flamewing is going with his question. I'm curious about this as well, because if this sprite sheet was made available to someone with the wrong hands, then something like the recent "prototype" video may have been fabricated using them. (get the drift?)
No, I doubt it was ever uploaded besides when it was first posed on Sonic Cult. I am probably the only one who bothered to save it all this time.
