Halloween 2014: Let's Go Emerald Hunting

Yes, this is really amazing. A bit unfair in forums with lots of pages, but amazing nonetheless.

 

I absolutely have to know who recorded the Member's Lounge track. It's glorious.

 

I just got lucky. Two Emeralds showed up in Members Lounge, but fortunately they were on pages 9 and 11 in short topics. I got my highest score, but only got a B rank.

Previously I got an A rank for a score of 25,000 and a time of 03:31. Is it cause I navigated away from Retro? I had to reload the game since going back to the forum index netted be a blank white screen. Naturally, I feel a grave injustice has been served and you've ruined my entire evening. This is the worst thing ever.

This is officially more fun than the emerald hunting in SA1/2. I was going to go out tonight, but I might just play this all night.

 

As the count under my name proves, I've been wasting too much time on this today.

~13 minutes, and I got an E-Rank. Just barely scraping by.

 

It's too bad there's no way to track your times. My fourth try, if I recall correctly, was below two minutes, in spite of two of them being in General Discussion. I'd love to know for sure though; I didn't write it down.

 

Wow, that was amazing! Now I've get to get better emblems! (I hope this sticks around as a hidden easter egg or something...)

Can't get it to run. All I get is a 'Now Loading...' forever and ever.

 

Luck based as hell regarding times but its certainly fun.
Once I realized it goes green on the correct page it made it way easier.

I also like how the music just sort of gets strange when you hit Members Lounge, its like Blonic Retro all over again.

 

This is awesome and I love it. All the small little detail things are just great.

 

Not fun: 3 "F" ranks in a row because an emerald didn't show up no matter what I did... and the radar was as red as it gets.

 

My best so far. Got SUPER lucky, with two of 'em in the Site Affairs forum.

 

You must have unintentionally enabled Sonic '06 mode.

 

This is really quite hard to be honest. If I may have a suggestions.
Limit the location to the first 20 pages. That way I wouldn't have to check every 82 pages of the Members Lounge.
Other than that, this is extremely fun. Thank you very much for this wonderful recreation. Makes me want to replay Sonic Adventure for the 369th time.

 

Really well done, super slick and SA2 accurate. only thing I hate about it is actually my hatred for treasure hunting. Spent about 10 minutes trying to find emeralds before reaching the "fuck it" stage lol
