The graphics need a lot of work. For that new ground perspective to work, objects that are in direct contact with it such as the monitors and springs should have their sprites changed to match the new perspective, otherwise it looks really odd. Ideally, moving platforms should have that perspective as well. Also, the whole thing is very repetitive, you need something to break the monotony. The background grass is too similar to the foreground grass, which can be pretty confusing, and if it's supposed to be a field that extends all the way to the foreground it should have the proper deformation to indicate that.

I have been listening. Besides the fixed animal collision that you can see in the lets play video, I have been trying to fix the complaints both the LPer, you, and others have been saying.

Blind falls for example. A simple ring trail should do the trick.

Speaking of blind falls, you can expect to see more informational signs in my next zones. There is danger if you go down this pipe!

...Which ends up here. Please note I still have to fix the graphics on the disintegrating platform to something that fits the color choices.
I have added more shields to each act. Instead of 1 shield per act, there will be two to three.
Yes, I have considered to have ALL the objects be isometric. Hopefully, that will happen.
Not here, but I have been given complaints with the title screen music, despite it being from the Flicky game. I might change it to something else.
I dread to ask, do you hate the boss music?
The background/foreground issue. Should the background have smaller blades of grass? Is it not dark enough?
Do you like or hate the spikes? Would you like an option to turn the instant kill megaman spikes off?
Hmm...anything else?
Edit:

Any better?

Why do spikes insta kill me?
I don't have a problem with bottomless pits, but I don't like how I willingly stepped into a bottomless pit because I didn't know it was, in fact, a bottomless pit.
And that boss is ridiculous. I honestly stopped trying after the first death.
Otherwise, I like the potential for this.

I feel that I have been neglecting this thread. Mainly because I hoped by the time I update the thread I would have a new release. I don't. Why? Because I feel it is not ready yet. If you have been keeping up, my updates have been scattered about.
You can also notice my snags at the Q/A thread. I do have multiple act exits that go to different paths in the hack, and it works except for a -slight- bug. Object learning is going sorta okay, now only if I can just properly delete it.

I have been fixing up trouble spots for people, making them slightly easier. The above picture for example. There used to be a enemy that shoots to greet you, however people found it impossible so I switched the spot up. I also will remind you all that you are able to now collect multiple shields, for an extra hit. Signs are also posted for danger, like "DON'T GO DOWN HERE NO STOP STOP STOP" bottomless pits.
Now for a reason to post here. I have changed the regular boss theme. I'm not sure the instruments or even the track is final. Don't worry, the flicky music will be used elsewhere...but that is for the future. What I want is for you all to give input. Do you like it? Do you hate it? What instruments should I change? Should I switch back to the original?

This hack has always had potential; art is nice (love the new signpost seriously), the enemies look pretty awesome, and the level design ain't bad - the only problem is the central flicky gimmick itself, which is honestly kinda annoying. Maybe have some kind of option to turn it off/on? :/

Have you tried getting shields? They protect you from the small animals you know. With a shield it is just like regular sonic, they pass right by. Flicky monitors have no effect as well when Sonic has a shield.

After watching the video again, I came up with an idea, which will make the hack easier (and less frustrating), while at the same time it doesn't remove the main idea: Making the Flickies harmful once they touch the ground. For me it's totally unfair that, after destroying an enemy, you get hit by the Flickies at least 90% of all times.
Not sure what you think, but if you want this hack to be more playable (and enjoyable), I suggest you to think about it.

The fixed collision worked wonders in that area. As you can see in this video, you can now pretty much bop the top of the enemy and the small animals won't get to you fast enough. Why? Because their hit box isn't the size of an elephant anymore. Going at them from the sides is still a deathwish though.
I even made a chart:

Unless the sideway destruction is intentionally harmful, I would think about it though.

It all has to do with the fact that you keep your downward speed (turned upward speed) and forward momentum when you bounce off enemies. The small animal just isn't fast enough to hurt you. Going from the side you are just ramming head on where the small animal is stored at a fast speed with no bounce back to save you.
This does give me an idea. (Not for Flicky Turncoat DX mind you) What would happen if someone programmed the bounce speed code for every side of the enemy/badnik? Might be a neat mini hack idea.
Once again, you can view my video here.
Edit 4: Taken care of again.

EDIT: WHAT THE HECK?!? SOMEONE STOLE MY VIDEO!? ALREADY?!
Just flag it as Spam -> Fraud; The download link there will send you to a virus ridden site. It's very useful when combating this threat, as it's very similar to what others experience.

Bad news:
Laptop decided to stop working in me. This means work on the hack is halted until I get it fixed. Luckily, I backup regularly on a USB. Hopefully if I pull it out it will have saved the latest backup.
Ok. Here's what happened. I was working on the testing the hack as usual when the screen froze on me. Like, no keys were working and Control+Alt+Delete didn't work either. Eventually I got it shut off. However, when I turned it on again the screen didn't turn on, the computer would run for a few seconds, a whisper of a pop, and it would turn itself off. Explaining my situation on the IRC, I got that the answer -could- be that the motherboard is fried.
Edit: Download the latest build.
I didn't want to release this THIS soon, but who knows what is going to happen so why not. Note that while you can go to Ricky Illusion, both acts are unfinished with Act 1 the most finished of the bunch.Infact, I think you can even complete it. YES ACT 1 CAN BE FINISHED. There are two main paths, however one of them is unfinished as in I was going to add a "special spring" for that section. Also the bonus path is unfinished. These all because I didn't make the "special springs" yet. If you want to explore, use debug mode. Oh and the RI spring tubes, works if you don't touch any buttons while inside. I -WAS- going to add an object that stopped you, but you know what happened.
This release has the fixed collision, multiple exits, multiple shield collector, etc. Please note THINGS AREN'T FINAL and are UNFINISHED. Any glitches and other weirdness you find I most likely already know about.

Heh, I did like this. Very nice.
My only suggestions is possibly a background for the title screen, but I suppose that is in the works. Beautiful artwork!
