    Many a game.
    Cross-post from the GameMaker Forum:
I recently used GameMaker:Studio for a school project, an interactive map of sorts that is supposed to show text when colliding with an object. Both in the IDE and the .exe, the program worked just fine. However, on my school PC, when trying to run the .exe, an error pops up saying "LoadString() Error. Could not load string resource."
Is there some way to fix this?

Did you forget to include a .dll or something? I have a feeling the program isn't "portable" and must be installed on the system you intend to use it on. Which is a problem because most schools don't allow you to install programs on their machines. Or it could be auto-loading a project that's producing the error, or something. I'm not super familiar with GM.

It was, indeed, a missing dll. Luckily, GM:S has the option to export as a zip, which is pretty handy, since it contains the needed file. Thanks, Billy!

Mods, since the issue has been solved, could you lock the thread?
