Arcadeattack posted a nice, but rather Atari-heavy, interview with Francois Bertrand. It's interesting to know that a foreigner worked for Sega on what was it's killer app at the time: 3D in arcades. He discussed how everything was built from the ground up, which isn't unexpected as they were pioneering new territory. This also explains why no documentation for the technical aspects of these games exists outside Sega. Worth a read and worth adding to the wiki imho.
