I can't find it anywhere, and all traces of it were removed from youtube. Anyone have a download or link to it?

You're being a little vague - there are a couple of unused tracks in the early Sonic 3D Betas, but I guess you're looking for one track in particular, and that would be this one, right?

It would seem that it's been removed on grounds that SEGA hasn't publically revealed the Sonic 4 boss theme, even though it's existed from even before Sonic 4.

That's the exact one, thank you. That's really silly SEGA would have it removed for the sake of Sonic 4 too.

Computer Content Scanners, any music pattern that's matches a song will automatically get flagged and a copyright notice, I guess the thing can't tell the difference between the Sonic 4 version and the Sonic 3D version.

Ironically, I find that the 3D Blast version sounds better. I'm glad I saved it when I did. The Boss 2 "Pinch" sounds fine though....for SHORT periods of time.

It's a bit sad that boss music that wasn't good enough for Sonic 3D, a spin off game, is good enough for Sonic 4 the supposed return of classic glory. It speaks volumes about Senoue's attitude towards this game. Also reusing the S3 1-up sound that got replaced in S&K.

Not good man, not good.

You make it seem like Sega looked into the future. "Let's remove this track to use it in Sonic 4 in the mystical year of twenty-thousand and ten, nyerherher!"

Removed it from YouTube. Very recently. Not from Sonic 3D, over 10 years ago.

What? A track he was apparently fond of got the cut and he didn't want to see it go to waste. I don't think there's anything terribly malicious about that.

Why was my last post trashed.

I know, but that's the impression I was getting.

The boss tracks used in S3D were vastly superior to the left over track, it was cut because at the time they had higher standards than they do now.

I realize, but I wouldn't fault Jun for that- it's the producers' responsibility to keep the artists in check. If anything, blame them for choosing a musician who was so ill-suited for the project. They have a whole pantheon of competent composers to draw from, and they pick the guitar guy?

But then, I got the feeling that Jun jumped at the chance to work on the project of his own accord. That'd say more about his attitude towards the game than anything.
